Hey, i am from germany, and i asked me, why the prices jump every day on open stock markets on NASDAQ and TradeGate. Then i realized that this is the price before the stock exchange opens jumps, which you can see in tradeview on the stock info. This was exactly my search query for google and i found your Indicator. After using it, it open me the deep handling of market player to move the price on the openning time stock market. THX

Hey, it is possible we can change between points or percent value ?
marceloelgringo
@modano0903, for sure. I've updated the script.
Jittra
So, it's not working for forex?
marceloelgringo
@Jittra, the script will work from a technical point of view, but you will not normally have a gap between session changes.

This indicator is basically more for markets with opening/closing hours.
Jittra
@marceloelgringo, thanks. I just tried on some Forex pairs and it just doesn't show labels like yours.
marceloelgringo
@Jittra, which forex pair did you choose? For example, when I look at the USDAUD pair in the 30m timeframe, I see the labels of the indicator as expected.

See yourself:

It is important that you select a smaller time unit than 1D, otherwise the script cannot print labels, as a session in the forex market always lasts 24 hours.
Jittra
@marceloelgringo, I tried EURUSD on 15min TF but it appears 0%
marceloelgringo
@Jittra, But that is also technically correct.
This script determines the closing price of the previous session and compares this with the open price of the session on the next day.
In the forex area, from a technical point of view, a session always lasts 24 hours, so here you also have no time gap, since this time gap is virtually non-existent, the price gaps are so small that mostly only 0.00% is displayed, there are certainly a few larger gaps such as 0.02%, but you will not find large gaps here, such as in the stock market.
Did you expect anything else?
