New year same approach, there was a lot of experimentation with my market approach, I began to form my own concepts, I was introduced to ICT and his method refined things I was noticing through my own studies and provided a plethora of information as to why price moves.

I can finally say I feel comfortable with my overall method and approach to the market as it gives reasons to anticipate movement, interpret real time action and justify market participation.

That being said, NFP week is this week. I am still DEMO. back live next week but trying to stay up to date with the market flow.

A lot of liquidity has been built up from traders too stubborn and impatient to not enter positions during december, anticipating the market to clear out liquidity on friday.

SL moved into profit for first trade, risk mitigated 2nd trade

Risk manager had to take over for a bit. closed out 80% of first position, and all of second position as there is a 10hr FVG that may want to get filled.

20% of initial position left to final target. open to re-entry given the opportunity.

20% of tuesday's trade stopped out BE. Took a buy that hit SL this morning. in another with reduced risk. last trade of the day.

Stop reached. in observation mode. a great week for an NFP week all things considered. might call it for the week.

No further participation was the right call today, as the market did not provide any opportunity to the upside. despite the 1R and .5R loss, today was a win for risk management, and discipline. which matters more in the long run than monetary wins.

this is demo so im letting it ride to the just before the daily FVG. however if for some reason you are treating my updates as trading signals (you shouldn't be lol) this is where to take significant profit of 80%+ off the table. price has filled the 10 hr FVG and can retrace easily

took 64% off here (80% of 80%). 2nd tp will complete being 80% off. with 20% at final tp.

ive had enough, closing open positions here. done for the week. will probably post weekly review over the weekend but we successfully captured the majority of NFP volume today.

WEEK RECAP

not a bad week at all for NFP week. price deviated from initial analysis however we were able to stay close to the market and take profitable trades. I see price continuing to chase buyside in the near future.
