Winter In America Weekly Preview 2/25/19

Short
SP:SPX   Indice S&P 500
I'm reminded of the Gil Scott Heron album "Winter in America"
as chaos in our society continues to manifest itself in ways
that show striking parralels to previous societal boom/bust cycles
where a simple lack of humility and shame,
seem to be running rampant everywhere amongst us.

It is impossible to ignore.
Class warfare between the rich and poor, is now becoming the dominant issue
and will be the paramont issue in the next presidental election in 2020

The stock market in the United States has risin for 9 straight weeks to start 2019,
as upward price adjustment seems to have acutely follwed,
the dovish upside/down turn.. of the Federal Revserve at the beginning of the year.

However,as shown here in the "Volume" Indicator for the S+P 500,
investor participation as measured by volume has waned and declined.. even as price has continued to rise,
signifying a decisive lack of commitement by buyers, in this stock rally of future expectations.
Obviously there are disbelievers.

The believers in the all is good rally want you to believe that our future is bright as ever.
while the disbelievers are protesting any which way they can.
They see an America being torn apart by class warefare, and struggle,
with the financial inequalities more glaring than ever.

Financial markets can ignore societal turmoil..only for only so long ( Brexit )
before it's cup filled to the brim with greed and falsehoods
begins to stain the fabric of society,.. indelibly.

Even the weather, can you believe there's snow falling in sunny Los Angeles,
if one need's any further proof of the imbalances, and of the ultimate fight ahead

Yes, Winter in America.
This is exactly,.. what it should look like.
