What is this settlement?

After EarthLink and Windstream WWNDHU merged in 2017, Windstream faced financial trouble, missed targets, and received negative ratings. By early 2018, it reported a huge loss, and its stock plummeted. By February 25, 2019, Windstream filed for bankruptcy.

Following this, EarthLink was sued by shareholders and has agreed to settle by paying $85M to investors.
