Two Texas Refineries Report Operating Issues: TCEQ Filings — OPIS

Meno di 1 minuto di lettura

Delek's Big Spring and TotalEnergies' Port Arthur refineries in Texas both reported operating issues earlier this week, according to regulatory filings with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).

Delek's 74,000 b/d Big Spring refinery in West Texas had an "equipment malfunction" at a fluid catalytic cracking unit on Wednesday, resulting in the release of several hazardous contaminants and flaring, the company told TCEQ in a filing dated Wednesday.

At TotalEnergies' 245,000 b/d Port Arthur refinery, a pressure-control valve on its "purchased hydrogen line" at its reformer failed Monday, causing an excess flow of hydrogen and flaring, the company told TCEQ in a filing.

TotalEnergies said in a subsequent filing that a lube oil system at its flare gas recovery unit failed on Tuesday, resulting in excess flaring.
