Persistent Systems Q1 Net Profit Rises 9.8% YoY to ₹424.9 crore
Persistent Systems reported a 9.8% year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to ₹4,249.36 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Revenue from operations grew by 21.8% to ₹3,333.6 crore. The board has also approved the issuance of 13.5 lakh equity shares to the PSPL ESOP Management Trust.

Financial Performance
Persistent Systems' revenue from operations for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, stood at ₹33,335.87 million, a 21.8% increase compared to ₹27,371.70 million for the corresponding quarter last year and a 2.8% increase compared to ₹32,421.12 million for the quarter ended March 31, 2025.
Other income for the quarter was ₹546.62 million, compared to ₹306.40 million in the same quarter last year and ₹183.61 million in the previous quarter.
Total income for the quarter reached ₹33,882.49 million, up from ₹27,678.10 million year-on-year and ₹32,604.73 million quarter-on-quarter.
Total expenses for the quarter were ₹28,328.42 million, compared to ₹23,672.68 million in the same quarter last year and ₹27,552.65 million in the previous quarter.
Profit before tax for the quarter was ₹5,554.07 million, a 38.7% increase from ₹4,005.42 million year-on-year and a 9.9% increase from ₹5,052.08 million quarter-on-quarter.
Tax expense for the quarter was ₹1,304.71 million, compared to ₹941.27 million in the same quarter last year and ₹1,094.48 million in the previous quarter.Net profit for the quarter was ₹4,249.36 million, a 38.7% increase from ₹3,064.15 million year-on-year and a 7.4% increase from ₹3,957.60 million quarter-on-quarter.Segment PerformanceThe company’s operating segments include Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI), Healthcare & Life Sciences, and Software, Hi-Tech and Emerging Industries.
- Banking, Financial Services and Insurance (BFSI): Revenue of ₹11,301.44 million for Q1 FY26, compared to ₹8,431.59 million for Q1 FY25 and ₹10,468.44 million for Q4 FY25.
- Healthcare & Life Sciences: Revenue of ₹8,426.90 million for Q1 FY26, compared to ₹7,310.97 million for Q1 FY25 and ₹8,691.78 million for Q4 FY25.
- Software, Hi-Tech and Emerging Industries: Revenue of ₹13,607.53 million for Q1 FY26, compared to ₹11,629.14 million for Q1 FY25 and ₹13,260.90 million for Q4 FY25.
Equity Share IssuanceThe Board of Directors approved the issuance of 1,350,000 Equity Shares of INR 5 each to the PSPL ESOP Management Trust. This is in accordance with the resolutions approved at the 31st and 33rd Annual General Meetings held in July 2021 and 2023, respectively.Change in Chief People Officer
