Dutch postal operator PostNL posts bigger than expected loss for Q3

PostNL PNL reported a wider than expected quarterly operating loss on Monday, citing an impact from less favourable mix effects and a decline in volumes for its Dutch mail division.

The Dutch postal operator's normalised loss before interest and taxes widened to 21 million euros in the third quarter, from a loss of 18 million euros a year earlier. Analysts polled by the company were expecting a loss of 17 million euros on average.
