Danish Net Jobless Rate Unchanged at 2.4%

The unemployment rate in Denmark stood at 2.4 percent in May of 2023, unchanged from the previous month.

The number of unemployed rose by 1.7 thousand from a month earlier to 71.9 thousand.

Net unemployed recipients of unemployment benefits increased by 1.7 thousand to 61.9 thousand, while the number of unemployed recipients of social assistance almost was unchanged at 10 thousand.

Meantime, the youth unemployment rate, which measures the number of job-seekers between 16 to 24 years old, edged down to 1.2% from 1.3%.
