Swiss Producer and Import Prices Fall at Faster Pace

Switzerland's producer prices and import prices fell 1.9 percent year-on-year in June 2024 from a 1.8% drop in the previous month.

This marked the fourteenth consecutive month of decline, weighed down by sustained lower import costs (-3.2% vs -2.9% in May).

Meanwhile, producer prices (-1.2% vs -1.3%) fell at a softer pace.

On a monthly basis, producer and import prices stalled in June, after a 0.3% fall in the previous month, and compared to a market forecasts of 0.1% rise.
