Danish Net Jobless Rate Steady at 2.6% in August

The unemployment rate in Denmark remained at 2.6 percent in August 2024, unchanged from the previous month and marking the highest jobless rate since October 2021.

The number of unemployed increased by 0.2 thousand from a month earlier to 76.7 thousand.

Net unemployed recipients of unemployment benefits rose by 0.1 thousand to 67.9 thousand, while the number of unemployed recipients of social assistance grew by 0.1 thousand to 8.8 thousand.

Meanwhile, the youth unemployment rate, which measures the number of job-seekers between 16 to 24 years old, stood at 1.1%.
