China Industrial Output Rises the Most in 4 Months

China’s industrial production grew by 5.4% year-on-year in September 2024, faster than market forecasts of 4.6% and accelerating from a 4.5% increase in August. It was the fastest expansion in industrial output since May, marking the first acceleration in five months.

For the first nine months of the year, industrial output rose by 5.8%.
