Death Cross Forward Returns (Daily)
Backtests any symbol after each 50/200 death cross. Marks signals and logs forward returns at 1W / 1M / 3M / 6M / 1Y in a clean on-chart table—simple and visual.
Description:
This indicator detects every death cross (50-period MA crossing below the 200-period MA) and records the forward performance from the signal bar. For each event, it calculates returns at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year (by default using trading-day bar counts). Works on any symbol and across asset classes.
How to use:
Apply to a Daily chart for true 1W/1M/3M/6M/1Y horizons (uses 5/21/63/126/252 bars).
On other timeframes, horizons are measured in bars, not calendar days.
Toggle EMA vs SMA in settings.
Returns are from the signal bar close (easily adjustable to next bar’s open if preferred).
Blank cells mean the horizon hasn’t elapsed yet for that event.
Notes:
Signals confirm on bar close → no repainting.
