🟩 Gap Detector with Percentage
This indicator detects price gaps on your chart and visually highlights them with color-coded boxes and percentage labels.
📊 What It Does:
Detects up gaps (gap up opens) and down gaps (gap down opens)
Draws a box over the gap area (color-coded green for up, red for down)
Shows the size of the gap as a percentage of the previous close
Tracks when gaps are partially or fully closed by price movement
Lets you limit the number of gaps displayed and how long they stay on the chart
🛠️ Customizable Settings:
Minimal Deviation (%): Filter out small gaps by setting a minimum size
Close Gaps Partially: Choose whether gaps should visually "close" when price enters them
Max Number of Gaps: Control how many gaps are displayed at once
Limit Max Gap Trail Length: Optionally remove gaps after a certain number of bars
Colors: Customize the colors for up/down gaps and label text
🔔 Alerts:
Get notified when a new gap appears
Get alerted when a gap is closed
⚠️ Notes:
If you don’t see any gaps, try lowering the Minimal Deviation %
Some exchanges don’t produce visible gaps due to how they align open/close prices
