Session Ranges

john_everist Aggiornato
This is session range indicator with CLEAN code and CLEAR data presentation. There are other range indicators available but when I looked I found them unreliable or making too much screen clutter. WIth mine you can have 3 ranges on screen, measure to bodies or wickes, customise the period, (set your timezone), colours, labels and all that good stuff...

I'm very happy to share it with everyone (and publishing is a great way to archive my code) but ultimately this indicator is by me, for me. Whilst i added a few bells and whistles for everyone this indicator is precisely designed to:

Show me EASILY see what happened in the Asia session and whether we are breaking out with MINIMAL screen clutter. I only use the 3, 15 and 60 - it won't work on the 1, 5, 120 etc because I dont need it to. How I use it is below.

Note di rilascio:
I used the original script last week and I found it really useful - for me, knowing that the London session has broken the Asia season is power information. However it meant I had to do more work by checking if the candle had crossed the line - and I hate work if I know a computer can do it for me so I automated it. THE SCRIPT NOW HIGHLIGHTS THE CANDLES THAT BREAK THE PREVIOS SESSION RANGE so I don't have to waste energy looking for where the line is and if the candle has crossed it.

In addition, I was curious as to whether there is any relationship between yesterday's range and today's price so I added a function to extend, for example, yesterday's Asia range to today - no idea whether that has value yet.

See below, if you switch on ALL the features its too busy in my opinion. Decide what the question is you are trying to answer and only use the features that answer that question.

Good luck...

bug fix

bug fix

Note di rilascio:

added the new color picker
removed some of the automated features. Yes, thats a step backward of sorts but I makes debugging easier and you can now make the MUCH requested 30, 15 min time options.

It takes a little longer to setup but you should only have to do it once.
Note di rilascio:
This is a total rewrite - this version has none of the DNA of the old version. Its completely new and superior.

Point of note -
This version only show one range - its too much work to maintain it with multiple ranges. You can just add multiple versions of the same script.
-You can increase time in 15 min intervals
-You can customise all colours elements separately now (main range, extended, expanded, filled
-The range will paint and grow whilst its being formed (it will not await the end of teh session to appear)
-There is an option to show an expanded range line which is a line above and below that is a multiple of the range
-You can shoe the range pips (I don't even remember coding that - I must have been drunk hen I was writing it)
-From my testing its totally accurate now (the old version had a bug here and there
Note di rilascio:
Added show mid range
Can chose text size for labels
Note di rilascio:
added the function "use bodies instead of wicks" for rPud
Note di rilascio:
code maintenance
Note di rilascio:
Note di rilascio:
was a gap in the range line on daily
Note di rilascio:
this is the latest version of this script. It has less features than previous versions. Its been a year or so and i understand now what is useful to me and what isn't so I've removed the unused features to make is easier to maintain.
Note di rilascio:
I've completely re-written this script. Its now very efficient, easy to use and highly customisable.
Note di rilascio:
Can extend previous key levels xxx into new session.
