Volume Profile [TFO]This indicator generates Volume Profiles from which to display insights about recent Volume Points of Control and High Volume Nodes. Volume Profile is a way to view trading volume by the price where trades have occurred, rather than the time when they occur (as seen by traditional Volume indicators).
By selecting a Resolution Timeframe (1m in this example), we can aggregate the volume at different prices to build a Volume Profile for a specified Profile Timeframe (1D in this example). In this indicator, we make the simple assumption that a given candle's volume is distributed evenly across all points. Realistically, this is seldom the case, but it gives us a starting point to easily estimate the volume at a given price, in turn helping us to build our profiles in a trivial way.
If we do this for all Resolution Timeframe candles within a Profile Timeframe (all 1m candles in a single 1D candle, in this example), then we can successfully aggregate this data and build a full Volume Profile. And thankfully, Pine Script's new polyline feature ultimately allow us to keep more Volume Profiles on our charts. Before polylines, we would have to consider using lines or boxes to represent the individual levels within a given profile, and each script currently has a cap of 500 lines and boxes, respectively. However, one single polyline can be used to draw the complex shape of an entire profile, and we may show up to 100 polylines in a given script. This helps us keep a lot more data on our charts!
Compared to TradingView's Session Volume Profile indicator (blue/yellow), we can see that our indicator (grey) is nearly identical, which verifies that our assumption of a uniform volume distribution is enough to roughly estimate a given Volume Profile. Note in this example the Row Size was set to 200, meaning that 200 levels are used to approximate profiles from each session's high to its low.
Show VPOC will show the volume point of control of each profile, which represents the price level where the largest amount of volume was traded for a given profile. This is shown with the red lines in the following chart.
Extend Last N VPOCs will look for the most recent, user-defined number of VPOCs (not including the current session's VPOC that's still developing) and extend them to the right of the chart as points of reference. The Show Labels Above option will annotate each VPOC with its respective date above a specified timeframe. This way, if one was using Volume Profiles on intraday timeframes, there wouldn't need to be several date strings all showing the same day.
Show Previous HVNs will show high volume nodes from the previous session. The HVN Strength setting is similar to a "pivot strength" that I use in a lot of my scripts - essentially, HVNs are validated by treating them as local highs. With a HVN Strength of 10 for example, if a given level contains more volume than the 10 levels above and below it, then it is validated as a HVN.
For a cleaner look and feel, HVNs can instead be shown as levels (lines) instead of areas (boxes). With levels enabled, solid lines denote the previous session's VPOC, and dotted lines represent all other HVNs. With areas enabled instead, the tops and bottoms will extend above/below the HVN level until a point with greater volume is discovered (marking the "end" of the node).
This indicator can be computationally intensive and may crash from taking too long to execute. In these cases, it's best to disable unused features, decrease the number of Rows, and/or simply reload the chart until it populates.
CarrerasTrendThis indicator, created by Maximiliano Carreras , displays the trend based on the 200-period EMA (Adjustable) on the chart. The EMA is calculated based on data from the 1-hour and 4-hour charts (Both adjustable timeframes). The indicator labels the trend as "Bullish" if the closing price is above the EMA and as "Bearish" if it is below. The indicator is shown in the top right corner of the chart, providing information about the overall trend of the underlying asset.
You can also choose whether to display the EMA on the chart or not, as well as select between 1 or 2 timeframes for display.

The Christmas Toolkit displays a tree containing elements affected by various technical indicators. If you're lucky, you just might also find a precious reindeer trotting toward the tree, how fancy!
🔶 USAGE
Each of the 7 X-mas balls is associated with a specific condition.
Each ball has a color indicating:
lime: very bullish
green: bullish
blue: holding the same position or sideline
red: bearish
darkRed: very bearish
From top to bottom:

Switches to green/lime or red/dark red can be seen by the fallen stars at the bottom.
The Last Switch indicates the latest green/lime or red/dark red color (not blue)

Randomly moving snowflakes are added to give it a wintry character.
There are also randomly moving stars in the tree.
Garland rotations, style, and color can be adjusted, together with the width and offset of the tree, put your tree anywhere on your chart!
Disabling the "static tree" setting will make the needles 'move'.
Have you happened to see the precious reindeer on the right? This proud reindeer moves towards the most recent candle. Who knows what this reindeer might be bringing to the tree?

Garland rotations: Amount of rotations, a high number gives other styles.

Breakout Detector (Previous MTF High Low Levels) [LuxAlgo]The Breakout Detector (Previous MTF High Low Levels) indicator highlights breakouts of previous high/low levels from a higher timeframe.
The indicator is able to: display take-profit/stop-loss levels based on a user selected Win/Loss ratio, detect false breakouts, and display a dashboard with various useful statistics.
Do note that previous high/low levels are subject to backpainting, that is they are drawn retrospectively in their corresponding location. Other elements in the script are not subject to backpainting.
🔶 USAGE
Breakouts occur when the price closes above a previous Higher Timeframe (HTF) High or below a previous HTF Low.
On the advent of a breakout, the closing price acts as an entry level at which a Take Profit (TP) and Stop Loss (SL) are placed. When a TP or SL level is reached, the SL/TP box border is highlighted.
When there is a breakout in the opposite direction of an active breakout, previous breakout levels stop being updated. Not reaching an SL/TP level will result in a partial loss/win,
which will result in the box being highlighted with a dotted border (default). This can also be set as a dashed or solid border.
Detection of False Breakouts (default on) can be helpful to avoid false positives, these can also be indicative of potential trend reversals.
This indicator contains visualization when a new HTF interval begins (thick vertical grey line) and a dashboard for reviewing the breakout results (both defaults enabled; and can be disabled).
As seen in the example above, the active, open breakout is colored green/red.
You can enable the setting ' Cancel TP/SL at the end of HTF ', which will stop updating previous TP/SL levels on the occurrence of a new HTF interval.
🔶 DETAILS
🔹 Principles
Every time a new timeframe period starts, the previous high and low are detected of the higher timeframe. On that bar only there won't be a breakout detection.
A breakout is confirmed when the close price breaks the previous HTF high/low
A breakout in the same direction as the active breakout is ignored.
A breakout in the opposite direction stops previous breakout levels from being updated.
Take Profit/Stop Loss, partially or not, will be highlighted in an easily interpretable manner.
🔹 Set Higher Timeframe
There are 2 options for choosing a higher timeframe:
• Choose a specific higher timeframe (in this example, Weekly higher TF on a 4h chart)
• Choose a multiple of the current timeframe (in this example, 75 minutes TF on a 15 min chart - 15 x 5)
Do mind, that when using this option, non-standard TFs can give less desired timeframe changes.
🔹 Setting Win/Loss Levels
The Stop Loss (SL) / Take Profit (TP) setting has 2 options:
W%:L% : A fixed percentage is chosen, for TP and SL.
W:L : In this case L (Loss-part) is set through Loss Settings , W (Win-part) is calculated by multiplying L , for example W : L = 2 : 1, W will be twice as large as the L .

The Loss part can be:
A multiple of the Average True Range (ATR) of the last 200 bars.
A multiple of the Range Cumulative Mean (RCM).
The Latest Swing (with Length setting)
Range Cumulative Mean is the sum of the Candle Range (high - low) divided by its bar index.
🔹 False Breakouts
A False Breakout is confirmed when the price of the bar immediately after the breakout bar returns above/below the breakout level.

Note that when a new Breakout causes the previous Breakout to stop being updated, only an alert is provided of the new Breakout.

A_Traders_Edge__LibraryLibrary "A_Traders_Edge__Library"
- A Trader's Edge (ATE)_Library was created to assist in constructing Market Overview Scanners (MOS)
LabelLocation(_firstLocation)
This function is used when there's a desire to print an assets ALERT LABELS at a set location on the scale that will
NOT change throughout the progression of the script. This is created so that if a lot of alerts are triggered, they
will stay relatively visible and not overlap each other. Ex. If you set your '_firstLocation' parameter as 1, since
there are a max of 40 assets that can be scanned, the 1st asset's location is assigned the value in the '_firstLocation' parameter,
the 2nd asset's location is the (1st asset's location+1)...and so on. If your first location is set to 81 then
the 1st asset is 81 and 2nd is 82 and so on until the 40th location = 120(in this particular example).
Parameters:
_firstLocation (simple int) : (simple int)
Optional(starts at 1 if no parameter added).
Location that you want the first asset to print its label if is triggered to do so.
ie. loc2=loc1+1, loc3=loc2+1, etc.
Returns: Returns 40 output variables each being a different location to print the labels so that an asset is asssigned to
a particular location on the scale. Regardless of if you have the maximum amount of assets being screened (40 max), this
function will output 40 locations… So there needs to be 40 variables assigned in the tuple in this function. What I
mean by that is you need to have 40 output location variables within your tuple (ie. between the ' ') regarless of
if your scanning 40 assets or not. If you only have 20 assets in your scripts input settings, then only the first 20
variables within the ' ' Will be assigned to a value location and the other 20 will be assigned 'NA', but their
variables still need to be present in the tuple.
SeparateTickerids(_string)
You must form this single tickerID input string exactly as described in the scripts info panel (little gray 'i' that
is circled at the end of the settings in the settings/input panel that you can hover your cursor over this 'i' to read the
details of that particular input). IF the string is formed correctly then it will break up this single string parameter into
a total of 40 separate strings which will be all of the tickerIDs that the script is using in your MO scanner.
Parameters:
_string (simple string) : (string)
A maximum of 40 Tickers (ALL joined as 1 string for the input parameter) that is formulated EXACTLY as described
within the tooltips of the TickerID inputs in my MOS Scanner scripts:
assets = input.text_area(tIDset1, title="TickerID (MUST READ TOOLTIP)", tooltip="Accepts 40 TICKERID's for each
copy of the script on the chart. TEXT FORMATTING RULES FOR TICKERID'S:
(1) To exclude the EXCHANGE NAME in the Labels, de-select the next input option.
(2) MUST have a space (' ') AFTER each TickerID.
(3) Capitalization in the Labels will match cap of these TickerID's.
(4) If your asset has a BaseCurrency & QuoteCurrency (ie. ADAUSDT ) BUT you ONLY want Labels
to show BaseCurrency(ie.'ADA'), include a FORWARD SLASH ('/') between the Base & Quote (ie.'ADA/USDT')", display=display.none)
Returns: Returns 40 output variables of the different strings of TickerID's (ie. you need to output 40 variables within the
tuple ' ' regardless of if you were scanning using all possible (40) assets or not.
If your scanning for less than 40 assets, then once the variables are assigned to all of the tickerIDs, the rest
of the 40 variables in the tuple will be assigned "NA".
TickeridForLabelsAndSecurity(_includeExchange, _ticker)
This function accepts the TickerID Name as its parameter and produces a single string that will be used in all of your labels.
Parameters:
_includeExchange (simple bool) : (bool)
Optional(if parameter not included in function it defaults to false ).
Used to determine if the Exchange name will be included in all labels/triggers/alerts.
_ticker (simple string) : (string)
For this parameter, input the varible named '_coin' from your 'f_main()' function for this parameter. It is the raw
Ticker ID name that will be processed.
Returns: ( )
Returns 2 output variables:
1st ('_securityTickerid') is to be used in the 'request.security()' function as this string will contain everything
TV needs to pull the correct assets data.
2nd ('lblTicker') is to be used in all of the labels in your MOS as it will only contain what you want your labels
to show as determined by how the tickerID is formulated in the MOS's input.
InvalidTID(_tablePosition, _stackVertical, _close, _securityTickerid, _invalidArray)

correctly in the '_source' input or that is not a valid symbol and should be changed.

Possible strings include: position.top_center, position.top_left, position.top_right, position.middle_center,

Optional(if parameter not included, it defaults to true). All of the assets that are counted as INVALID will be

If you want them printed as a single row then input 'false' here.
This should be the closing value of each of the assets being tested to determine in the TickerID is valid or not.
_securityTickerid (string) : (string)
Throughout the entire charts updates, if a '_close' value is never regestered then the logic counts the asset as INVALID.
This will be the 1st TickerID varible (named _securityTickerid) outputted from the tuple of the TickeridForLabels()
function above this one.
_invalidArray (string ) : (array string)
Input the array from the original script that houses all of the invalidArray strings.
Returns: (na)
Returns a table with the screened assets Invalid TickerID's. Table draws automatically if any are Invalid, thus,
no output variable to deal with.
LabelSizes(_barCnt, _lblSzRfrnce)
This function sizes your Alert Trigger Labels according to the amount of Printed Bars the chart has printed within
a set time period, while also keeping in mind the smallest relative reference size you input in the 'lblSzRfrnceInput'
parameter of this function. A HIGHER % of Printed Bars(aka...more trades occurring for that asset on the exchange),
the LARGER the Name Label will print, potentially showing you the better opportunities on the exchange to avoid
exchange manipulation liquidations.

This function is used to assign 40 different colors to 40 variables to be used for the different labels/plots.
Returns: Returns 40 output variables each with a different color assigned to them to be used in your plots & labels.
Regardless of if you have the maximum amount of assets your scanning(40 max) or less,
this function will assign 40 colors to 40 variables that you have between the ' '.
PrintedBarCount(_time, _barCntLength, _barCntPercentMin)
The Printed BarCount Filter looks back a User Defined amount of minutes and calculates the % of bars that have printed
out of the TOTAL amount of bars that COULD HAVE been printed within the same amount of time.
Parameters:
_time (int) : (int)
The time associated with the chart of the particular asset that is being screened at that point.
_barCntLength (int) : (int)
The amount of time (IN MINUTES) that you want the logic to look back at to calculate the % of bars that have actually
printed in the span of time you input into this parameter.
_barCntPercentMin (int) : (int)
The minimum % of Printed Bars of the asset being screened has to be GREATER than the value set in this parameter
for the output variable 'bc_gtg' to be true.

1st is the % of Printed Bars that have printed within the within the span of time you input in the '_barCntLength' parameter.

You will see me using this a lot. DEFINITELY my favorite oscillator to utilize for SO many different things from
timing entries/exits to determining trends.Calculation of this indicator based on Spearmans Correlation.
Parameters:
_rciLength (int) : (int)
Amount of bars back to use in RCI calculations.
_source (float) : (float)
Source to use in RCI calculations (can use ANY source series. Ie, open,close,high,low,etc).
_interval (int) : (int)
Optional(if parameter not included, it defaults to 3). RCI calculation groups bars by this amount and then will.
rank these groups of bars.

Returns a single RCI value that will oscillates between -100 and +100.
RCIAVG(firstLength, _amtBtLengths, _rciSMAlen, _source, _interval)
20 RCI's are averaged together to get this RCI Avg (Rank Correlation Index Average). Each RCI (of the 20 total RCI)
has a progressively LARGER Lookback Length. Though the RCI Lengths are not individually adjustable,
there are 2 factors that ARE:
(1) the Lookback Length of the 1st RCI and
(2) the amount of values between one RCI's Lookback Length and the next.
*** If you set 'firstLength' to it's default of 200 and '_amtBtLengths' to it's default of 120 (aka AMOUNT BETWEEN LENGTHS=120)...
then RCI_2 Length=320, RCI_3 Length=440, RCI_4 Length=560, and so on.

Unlike the Single RCI Function, this function smooths out the end result using an SMA with a length value that is this parameter.

_interval (int) : (int)
Optional(if parameter not included, it defaults to 3). Within the RCI calculation, bars next to each other are grouped together
and then these groups are Ranked against each other. This parameter is the number of adjacent bars that are grouped together.
Returns: (float)
Returns a single RCI value that is the Avg of many RCI values that will oscillate between -100 and +100.
PercentChange(_startingValue, _endingValue)
This is a quick function to calculate how much % change has occurred between the '_startingValue' and the '_endingValue'
that you input into the function.
Parameters:
_startingValue (float) : (float)
The source value to START the % change calculation from.
_endingValue (float) : (float)
The source value to END the % change caluclation from.
Returns: Returns a single output being the % value between 0-100 (with trailing numbers behind a decimal). If you want only
a certain amount of numbers behind the decimal, this function needs to be put within a formatting function to do so.
Rescale(_source, _oldMin, _oldMax, _newMin, _newMax)
Rescales series with a known '_oldMin' & '_oldMax'. Use this when the scale of the '_source' to
rescale is known (bounded).

The known minimum of the '_source'.

The strategy details are as follows: This is a simple warning strategy created so that we don't have to monitor the candlestick chart too often.
Note: This isn't an entry strategy; it's a signaling strategy for upcoming trends. For maximum efficiency, we should incorporate more formulas into the command. In the case below, I use Fibonacci to enter the command.
This strategy setting works for a 15-minute time frame, but it can still work for different time frames.
It has been working well with Gold and USOIL for the last two years, as well as with currency pairs like EURUSD and many others.

Candles are below both EMAs ( 100-200 ) + 2 SMAs ( 400-800 )
In the previous 80 candles:

TTP PNR filterPNR filter uses the "percentile nearest rank" method to produce signals from any source including oscillator indicators and price bars.
Features:
* Length - how many candles back in time to use for calculating PNR
* % low and high - what range of the spread of values captured will form the PNR band. Use 99&100 to create a band on the 1% highest percentile or 0&1 to create a band in the lowest percentile. It accepts float numbers so you can find very rare occurrences.
* src - by default it will use the close price but PNR filter can be used with any source. It's particularly useful when working with oscillators like RSI, MACD, ADX, etc.
* Signal direction - The indicator will print 1 when the selected conditions are met. Once the PNR band is plotted you can chose from cross over, cross under, above and below conditions to trigger a signal.
* Signal source - the band consists in a % low and % high, this option allows you to pick which band will be used with the "signal direction" parameter.
Example configuration:
1) Select 200 as the length
2) Select % low 0 and % high 1
3) Add RSI to the chart and select it as the source parameter
4) Select signal direction cross over
5) Select signal source % high which corresponds to the 1% band
In this setup you are finding values of RSI that in the past 200 candles have been that low only 1% of the time. With each new candle the calculation window will move as well leaving the oldest candle out.

Supertrend
Definition
Supertrend is a trend-following indicator based on Average True Range (ATR). The calculation of its single line combines trend detection and volatility. It can be used to detect changes in trend direction and to position stops.
The basics
The Supertrend is a trend-following indicator. It is overlaid on the main chart and their plots indicate the current trend. A Supertrend can be used with varying periods (daily, weekly, intraday etc.) and on varying instruments.
The Supertrend has several inputs that you can adjust to match your trading strategy. Adjusting these settings allows you to make the indicator more or less sensitive to price changes.
For the Supertrend inputs, you can adjust atrLength and multiplier:
the atrLength setting is the lookback length for the ATR calculation;
multiplier is what the ATR is multiplied by to offset the bands from price.
When the price falls below the indicator curve, it turns red and indicates a downtrend. Conversely, when the price rises above the curve, the indicator turns green and indicates an uptrend. After each close above or below Supertrend, a new trend appears.
Summary
The Supertrend helps you make the right trading decisions. However, there are times when it generates false signals. Therefore, it is best to use the right combination of several indicators. Like any other indicator, Supertrend works best when used with other indicators such as MACD, Parabolic SAR, or RSI.
Exponential Moving Average
Definition
The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a specific type of moving average that points towards the importance of the most recent data and information from the market. The Exponential Moving Average is just like it’s name says - it’s exponential, weighting the most recent prices more than the less recent prices. The EMA can be compared and contrasted with the simple moving average.
Similar to other moving averages, the EMA is a technical indicator that produces buy and sell signals based on data that shows evidence of divergence and crossovers from general and historical averages. Additionally, the EMA tries to amplify the importance that the most recent data points play in a calculation.
It is common to use more than one EMA length at once, to provide more in-depth and focused data. For example, by choosing 10-day and 200-day moving averages, a trader is able to determine more from the results in a long-term trade, than a trader who is only analyzing one EMA length.
It’s best to use the EMA when for trending markets, as it shows uptrends and downtrends when a market is strong and weak, respectively. An experienced trader will know to look both at the line the EMA projects, as well as the rate of change that comes from each bar as it moves to the next data point. Analyzing these points and data streams correctly will help the trader determine when they should buy, sell, or switch investments from bearish to bullish or vice versa.
Short-term averages, on the other hand, is a different story when analyzing Exponential Moving Average data. It is most common for traders to quote and utilize 12- and 26-day EMAs in the short-term. This is because they are used to create specific indicators. Look into Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) for more information. Similarly, the 50- and 200-day moving averages are most common for analyzing long-term trends.
Moving averages can be very useful for traders using technical analysis for profit. It is important to identify and realize, however, their shortcomings, as all moving averages tend to suffer from recurring lag. It is difficult to modify the moving average to work in your favor at times, often having the preferred time to enter or exit the market pass before the moving average even shows changes in the trend or price movement for that matter.
All of this is true, however, the EMA strives to make this easier for traders. The EMA is unique because it places more emphasis on the most recent data. Therefore, price movement and trend reversals or changes are closely monitored, allowing for the EMA to react quicker than other moving averages.
Limitations
Although using the Exponential Moving Average has a lot of advantages when analyzing market trends, it is also uncertain whether or not the use of most recent data points truly affects technical and market analysis. In addition, the EMA relies on historical data as its basis for operating and because news, events, and other information can change rapidly the indicator can misinterpret this information by weighting the current prices higher than when the event actually occurred.

The Exponential Moving Average (EMA) is a moving average and technical indicator that reflects and projects the most recent data and information from the market to a trader and relies on a base of historical data. It is one of many different types of moving averages and has an easily calculable formula.

Session Moving AveragesAdds EMAs and SMAs to chart using 8am-8pm EST values. Completely configurable in settings.
Some platforms allow users to configure what time frame they would like to view market data. One popular selection is 8am-8pm EST as 8am is when institutional orders go through. An argument can be made that price action before 8am EST is not valid yet moving averages will use that data.
This matters less for shorter moving averages such as a 9 or 20 ema, but it dramatically changes the 200 or the 50 sma for example.
This script allows you to ignore that pre-market data (or any data you choose to configure in the settings) and select up to 3 moving averages (either Exponential or Simple) for a set time.
By default the moving averages include the 9-ema (gray), 20-ema (green), and 200-sma (purple) and is set to 8am-8pm EST
This is configurable in the settings including the time frame you would like the moving averages to start using market data.
By default the script will use your charts timeframe. You are able to use multi-time frames with this script just scroll down to "timeframe", then click "chart" in settings... this will then allow you to select a timeframe.
A popular choice is 5-minute value of 8am-8pm EST moving averages. This means regardless of the time frame you are on (sub 1-minute, 1-minute, etc.) the script will display 5-minute data.
Final note: In settings you are able to turn on/off shapes (the gray lines at the bottom) which shows when the data is being used. This can be helpful on certain tickers that trade continuously such as /ES or /NQ.

The algorithm looks back at every candle within the loopback period to find candles that match the last closed candle. The algorithm adaptively changes the acceptable range to which a candle can differ from the ratio of the last closed candle. The algorithm will never have more than 15 historical points used, as it will lower its sensitivity before it reaches that point.

Here is the exact same chart with a loopback period of 200. While the first ratio for both is the same, a new ratio is revealed for the chart with a loopback of only 200 because the adaptive range is adjusted in the algorithm to find an acceptable number of reference points. Note the table in the top right however, while the algorithm adapts the acceptable range between the current ratio and historical ones to find reference points, there is a threshold at which candles will be considered too inaccurate to be considered. This prevents meaningless associations between candles due to a particularly rare ratio. This threshold can be adjusted in the settings through "Default Accuracy".
