5 MAs w. alerts [LucF]Is this gazillionth MA indicator worth an addition to the already crowded field of contenders? I say yes! This one shows up to 5 MAs and 6 different marker conditions that can be used to create alerts, among many other goodies.
Features
MAs can be darkened when they are falling.
MAs from another time frame can be displayed, with the option of smoothing them.
Markers can be filtered to Longs or Shorts only.
EMAs can be selected for either all or the two shortest MAs.
The background can be colored using any of the marker states except no. 3.
Markers are:
1. On crosses between any two user-defined MAs,
2. When price is above or below an MA,
3. On Quick Flips (a specific setup involving a cross, multiple MA states and increasing volume, when available),
4. When the difference between two MAs is within a % of its high/low historic values,
5. When an MA has been rising/falling for n bars,
6. When the difference between two MAs is greater than a multiple of ATR.
Some markers use similar visual cues, so distinguishing them will be a challenge if they are used concurrently.
Alerts
Alerts can be created on any combination of alerts. Only non-consecutive instances of markers 5 and 6 will trigger the alert condition. Make sure you are on the interval you want the alert to run at. Using the “Once Per Bar Close” trigger condition is usually the best option.
When an alert is created in TradingView, a snapshot of the indicator’s settings is saved with the alert, which then takes on a life of its own. That is why even though there is only one alert to choose from when you bring up the alert creation dialog box and choose “5 MAs”, that alert can be triggered from any number of conditions. You select those conditions by activating the markers you want the alert to trigger on before creating the alert. If you have selected multiple conditions, then it can be a good idea to record a reminder in the alert’s message field. When the alert triggers, you will need the indicator on the chart to figure out which one of your conditions triggered the alert, as there is currently no way to dynamically change the alert’s message field from within the script.
Background settings will not trigger alerts; only marker configurations.
Notes
MAs are just… averages. Trader lure would have them act as support and resistance levels. I’m not sure about that, and not the only one thinking along these lines. Adam Grimes has studied moving averages in quite a bit of detail. His numbers point to no evidence indicating they act as support/resistance, and to specific MA lengths not being more meaningful than others. His point of view is debated by some—not by me. Mean reversion does not entail that price stops when it reaches its MA; rather, it makes sense to me that price would often more or less oscillate around its MA, which entails the MA does not act as support/resistance. Aren’t the best mean reversion opportunities when price is furthest away from its MA? If so, it should be more profitable to identify these areas, which some of this indicator’s markers try to do.
I think MAs can be much more powerful when thought of as instruments we can use to situate price events in contexts of various resolutions, from the instantaneous to the big picture. Accordingly, I use the relative positions and slopes of MAs in both discretionary and automated trading; but never their purported ability to support/resist.
Regardless of how you use MAs, I hope you will find this indicator useful.

Moving averages: digging deeper
Edge-Preserving FilterIntroduction
Edge-preserving smoothing is often used in image processing in order to preserve edge information while filtering the remaining signal. I introduce two concepts in this indicator, edge preservation and an adaptive cumulative average allowing for fast edge-signal transition with period increase over time. This filter have nothing to do with classic filters for image processing, those filters use kernels convolution and are most of the time in a spatial domain.
Edge Detection Method
We want to minimize smoothing when an edge is detected, so our first goal is to detect an edge. An edge will be considered as being a peak or a valley, if you recall there is one of my indicator who aim to detect peaks and valley (reference at the bottom of the post) , since this estimation return binary outputs we will use it to tell our filter when to stop filtering.
Filtering Increase By Using Multi Steps Cumulative Average
The edge detection is a binary output, using a exponential smoothing could be possible and certainly more efficient but i wanted instead to try using a cumulative average approach because it smooth more and is a bit more original to use an adaptive architecture using something else than exponential averaging. A cumulative average is defined as the sum of the price and the previous value of the cumulative average and then this result is divided by n with n = number of data points. You could say that a cumulative average is a moving average with a linear increasing period.
So lets call CMA our cumulative average and n our divisor. When an edge is detected CMA = close price and n = 1 , else n is equal to previous n+1 and the CMA act as a normal cumulative average by summing its previous values with the price and dividing the sum by n until a new edge is detected, so there is a "no filtering state" and a "filtering state" with linear period increase transition, this is why its multi-steps.
The Filter
The filter have two parameters, a length parameter and a smooth parameter, length refer to the edge detection sensitivity, small values will detect short terms edges while higher values will detect more long terms edges. Smooth is directly related to the edge detection method, high values of smooth can avoid the detection of some edges.
smooth = 200
smooth = 50
smooth = 3
Conclusion
Preserving the price edges can be useful when it come to allow for reactivity during important price points, such filter can help with moving average crossover methods or can be used as a source for other indicators making those directly dependent of the edge detection.
Rsi with a period of 200 and our filter as source, will cross triggers line when an edge is detected

Supertrend FilterA derivation of the famous SuperTrend indicator.
My motivation for such indicator was to use more recursion in the original SuperTrend code, this work was made quite fast but feel free to modify it, as always my work is more for inspirational use than anything else so i hope it will inspire you to get more involved with the SuperTrend code or to start coding with Pine.
The indicator no longer act as a trailing-stop but more like a filter, this is due to the fact that the indicator conditions are swapped and that the output is reused many times in the calculation.
Parameters change as well and involve particular gestion. The Factor Parameter is no longer an integer but decimals such that 0 < Factor < 1 .
When the Period is high the indicator tend to become less linear/static and look more like a classic moving average. So it is important to have higher Factor values when the Period is high and reciprocally. Here a table to help you with parameters settings :
for Period = 1 to 50 Factor = 0.5
for Period = 50 to 100 Factor = 0.6
for Period = 100 to 150 Factor = 0.7
for Period = 150 to 200 Factor = 0.8
for Period = 200 to 300 Factor = 0.9
There could be a formula to scale the Factor depending on the Period but there would be no proof that the scaling method used is optimal.
Hope you enjoy

5 Moving Average (Simple / Exponential)Defaults to 1 SMA with 4 EMA bands. 200 SMA is intended to show the trend; 20,40 and 55 EMA show entries; 81 EMA is used as stop/take profit. Defaults are inspired by 'Eric Choe' but you can switch between EMA and SMA as per your own preference. Philakone uses all 5 as EMA 8, 13, 21, 55, 200
MA ZonesThis simple indicator paints the zone between up to 3 different Moving Averages and Exponential Moving Averages.
For example:
The green zone is the price between the 50 EMA and the 50 MA .
The orange zone is the price between the 100 EMA and the 100 MA .
The red zone is the price between the 200 EMA and the 200 MA .

Triple Standard Deviation==日本語説明も併記 // Japanese discription is following ==
■ Momentum Indicator (Triple Indication of Standard Deviation Volatilities)
■ Effective assets: All
■Example of utilization
1) Assume that a trend is generated at the timing when the yellow area chart (26) rises
2) Confirm the candlestick and if the price jumps out of the Bollinger band ± 1 σ, the trend toward that direction
3) If the closing price is confirmed within ± 1σ of the Bollinger band, close the position
■ Detailed explanation
Three standard deviation volatilities with different parameters are displayed at the same time. As represented by convergence divergence of Bollinger, it has a characteristic that it rises in the trend generation period and falls during the trend convergence period.
It develops color in a rising phase so that trend generation is easy to recognize, and fades in a falling phase.
Daily use is basic, but you can use it with the same parameters for other time feet.
The basic parameter (26) is displayed in yellow area for the most visibility.
The long-term parameter (52) is indicated by a yellow dot as an auxiliary element for judging the rising margin of the basic line.
The short-term parameter (13) is displayed as a line as an auxiliary element for recognizing the peak out of the basic line in advance.
In some cases, by changing short term (13) to super long term (100) you can recognize the major market price level once in several years.
Three periods The phrase "all lines" goes from "low position" to "rising together" is considered the strongest trend.
On the other hand, in the case where the short-term line rises backwards as the longer-term line goes down, it tends to end up with short-lived trends and failure to form trends.
If the trend speed is constant as a standard feature of calculating the standard deviation, the standard deviation may decrease even during trend continuation. Therefore, it is desirable to make a comprehensive judgment by comparing the shape of candlestick with the longer-term line.
Please note that there is no way to judge whether the trend suggested by this index rises or falls from this index, so it is necessary to confirm the main chart. (It is preferable to display parabolic or Bollinger band)
■ Remarks
It is an index created assuming that it is used as Triple STD-ADX in combination with Triple Smoothed ADX(to be posted later).
■ About Triple STD-ADX
Triple Standard Deviation "and" Triple Smoothed ADX "are superimposed and displayed as" Screen (without scale) "to function as" Triple STD - ADX ".
The method of utilization is the same as Triple Standard Deviation and Triple Smoothed ADX, but by simultaneously displaying two momentum indicators with different calculation approaches with multiple parameters, we aim to mutually complement the cognitive power of trends.
STD (13, 26, 52, 100, 200) and ADX (7, 14, 26, 52, 100) correspond to reaction rates respectively.
By choosing different reaction rates you can expect to further increase reliability.
You can estimate the reliability of the trend most reliably in a situation where all six signals in total rise from low to high.

■Triple STD-ADX
反応速度はそれぞれSTD(13,26,52,100,200)とADX(7,14,26,52,100)がほぼ対応します。
異なる反応速度を選択することで信頼度をさらに高めることを期待できます。
合計6本のシグナル全てが低い位置から揃って上昇する局面でトレンドの信頼性を最も高く見積もることができます。

CCI OBV 4Kmod of lazy bear's OBV coded CCI , which indicates CCI state by changing the color of the OBV. now it shows you when CCI is overbought or oversold, not just one or the other
when CCI > 100, that's an oversold signal and OBV line turns green
when CCO -0.54% < -100, that's an undersold signal and OBV line turns red
CCI threshold can be changed (ex. 200 and -200)
EMA is overlaid, too, in orange, and that period can be changed

BUY STRENGTH SELL WEAKNESS REMADE COPYSuggestions and ideas appreciated...
This was just a simple idea I had with the RSI.
I would like to add a filter.. example:
Only to go long when RSI is overbought AND price above 200 ema
Viceversa for short, when oversold and price below 200 ema.
Is there anyone out there who can help ??
GoldenCross by PuffyThis is a simple trading strategy that seeks the Golden Cross and Death Cross on the 4HR chart. The fast moving indicator in this strategy is the EMA 50 and the slow moving indicator is the EMA 200. When the EMA 50 crosses over the EMA 200 the strategy indicates a buy. When the EMA 50 crosses below the EMA 200 the strategy indicates a sell. This strategy averages trades in the 40 - 50 day range and as such should not be used with heavy leverage.
Moving Average Exponential x 4I get tired of using multiple EMAs to overlay the ones I use most commonly (the 50/100/200). This tool adds four EMAs in one indicator (50/100/200/400) by default, and they can be adjusted any way you like, just like the normal EMA tool.
Simple MA Colors ribbonSpecifically made for $BTC. The price seems to range between SMA so I have made this script for ease of use.
I use it on the hourly chart then use it to display increments of 50 and 200 SMA across different timeframes.
Pink lines show the 50 and 200 SMA.
