Big 8 Intraday TICKAt the start of each trading day (0930 EST), this indicator calculates the intraday price difference between open and close for the eight largest market cap stocks (AAPL, AMZN, GOOGLE, META, MSFT, NFLX, NVDA, and TSLA), assigns a +/-1 for each, and then plots the cumulative change. An EMA has been added for smoothing purposes that is set to 5 but can be changed. Please note indicator is best used on lower timeframes (15 min or less) and has no applicability to time frames above 1 hour.
The thought behind this indicator is those eight major stocks drive a majority of intraday price change in indices like SPY and QQQ that are heavily weighted towards these stocks, therefore they should be a leading indicator in price change. You can often catch a move in SPY or QQQ one to two bars (on 1 min chart) ahead of the actual move because you see this indicator moving strong to one direction.
It's not perfect as there are divergences you will see when you compare historical charts, but oftentimes those divergences ultimately lead to significant price swings in the same direction as this indicator, so recommend being on watch to pull the trigger when you see those and price confirms.
You can use this indicator in a few ways:
1. Confirmation that your current trade is in the same direction as this indicator
2. Use the zero cross as a trigger for put or call entry
3. Focusing only on calls/longs if the value is above 0, or only puts/shorts if the value is below zero. Just be sure to keep an eye on reversals.

Therefore, the only requirement:

Should your indicator have a retrievable plot value (most indicators do), you can use this script to create a visible-range profile of its values!
Consequently, the profile's always oriented to the left-most or right-most side of your chart - updating as you scroll left or right.
The image above shows me using the indicator to create a profile for MACD. I am largely zoomed out and the profile has adjusted to chart orientation.

Instructions
1. Load the indicator you'd like to profile on the chart.
The image above shows me applying the OBV indicator to the chart. Additionally, the "Profile Any Indicator" script is also loaded on the chart, instructing me to add an indicator to its settings.
2. From the settings for "Profile Any indicator", locate the "Indicator" setting and select the indicator you would like to profile.

Once steps 1 and 2 are complete you'll have a visible-range profile for the selected indicator on your chart!

3. Merge the indicator pane or select to plot the selected indicator in the current pane.
From here, you can select to plot the value of the selected indicator in the current pane or merge the selected indicator's pane (which must stay on the chart) with the pane designated to the "Profile Any Indicator" script.

Majors HOD/LODThis simple script detects when the major American sectors — technology ( QQQ ), financials ( XLF ), and healthcare ( XLV ) — are at the high or low of the current day at the same time. This information can be useful to gauge the potential strength or weakness of the trading day. The script uses the security function to pull in data from the three major indices and keeps a running cache of the high and low of the day regardless of the time frame selected.
A small table in the top right corner displays the current status of the major sectors. The display table can read:
"Mixed" - Major sectors are not at the high or low of the day at the same time
"Majors @ HOD" - Major sectors are at the high of day at the same time
"Majors @ LOD" - Major sectors are at the low of the day at the same time
Labels (optional) show past moments when the major sectors were at the high or low of the day at the same time. A green label above a candle indicates major sectors were at the high of the day at the same time, and a red label below a candle indicates major sectors were at the low of the day at the same time. These labels can be toggled on or off in the indicator settings.
To receive an alert when either condition happens (all majors at high of day or all majors at low of day), click the more (...) icon next to the indicator settings button and click "Add alert on Majors HOD/LOD".

Relative Price Volume
Relative Price Volume is an indicator which shows anomalies between price and volume on a chart over a given period. The goal is to identify potential reversal and/consolidation areas for price as it relates to volume. It is a simple variation of a Volume at Price indicators. It can also be used to mark potential support and resistance lines on the chart as the areas it signals is where the price battles are waged.
Settings:
Period = length for which to calculate average candle body and average volume
Long Factor = relative size multiplier to determine if a candle is larger than average or if volume is higher than average
Short Factor = relative size multiplier to determine if a candle is smaller than average or if volume is lower than average
Anomaly Conditions
1. If a candle is larger than average and volume is lower than average, then this is an anomaly, and we should be on alert for a change in momentum.
2. if a candle is smaller than average and volume is higher than average, then this too is an anomaly and should put us on alert.
The indicator will draw a cross on the chart indicating the candle is that is flashing the warning that the run is done and a potential consolidation and/or reversal is pending. Used in conjunction with support and resistance levels this could signal a time to enter or exit a trade.
The default size factors considers a candle or volume:
1. Larger than average if it is 60% or more (.6) larger than average.
2. Smaller than average if it is 40% or less (.4) smaller than average.

RTH & ETH TWAPs [vnhilton]Plots 2 different TWAPs for regular & extended trading sessions, with option for a plot fill between the 2 (for the definition of TWAP, look at the Help Center for the built-in TWAP indicator by TradingView). More focus should be put on RTH TWAP as it's more likely to be used than ETH TWAP unless high volume was transacted during extended hours. We make a big assumption that there're traders willing to buy/sell when price breaks below/above day TWAP, in anticipation for move to the opposite side (usually people who put in TWAP orders don't use the day TWAP, rather the TWAP calculated when they submit the order).
Prior day and pre-market high lowThis indicator displays the:
- Prior day high
- Prior day low
- Pre-market high
- Pre-market low
as a coloured line across the entire session for each individual session on an intraday chart.
For the extended session, this indicator marks the prior day and pre-market high low for each individual session starting at the pre-market and ending in the post-market, a feature not available on other indicators.
This indicator automatically marks out the levels for the prior day and pre-market high low for each individual session, allowing the user to observe how the price action behaves around the prior day and pre-market high low.
Note:
In this script, request.security() used with lookahead = barmerge.lookahead_on to fetch prices without offsetting the series by for the extended session does not access future data. This is because for extended session, request.security() sees the start of the session to be at the start of the regular session and ends at the end of the pre-market, when in reality the session starts at the start of the pre-market and ends at the end of the post-market.
Hence in each extended session when the line is first drawn in the pre-market, request.security() returns the value of the prior day high/low, and not future data.

Anything towards -2.5 is considered normal, moving towards oversold (-2.5 or lower).
+2.5 or higher is overbought.
-2.5 or lower is oversold.

This script visualizes long, short and neutral phases of any asset class as follows:
The differences A, B, C are formed from 3 moving averages
(3-EMA exponential moving average, 20-SMA simple moving average and 50-SMA simple moving average)
namely
A: (3-EMA minus 20-SMA)
B: (3-EMA minus 50-SMA)
C: (20-SMA minus 50-SMA).
Then the following rules apply to the traffic light (where ∂ means slope).
green traffic light (bullish): (A>0,B>0,C>0), (A>0,B>0,∂C>0), (A>0,∂B>0,C>0) or (A>0,∂B>0,∂C>0, whereas ∂A>0)

TTMSqueeze method is a volatility and momentum indicator introduced by John Carter of Simpler Trading, which capitalizes on the tendency for price to break out strongly after consolidating in a tight trading range.
How did I make this indicator? The Bollinger Bands & Keltner Channels base scripts are from the standard indicators of their class in the Technicals section... I made this indicator first then noticed there were 3 others with a similar concept, but this differs in it's unique features and application of the TTMSqueeze strategy. This indicator plots the True Range of the Keltner Channel (Customizable in 'Bands Style" in the Inputs Menu) the instances the Bollinger Bands are within the range of the Keltner channel (the market just entered a squeeze).
Featuring: customizable Moving Averages
1. Exponential (Default for both BB & KC)
2. Simple
3. RMA (MA used in RSI )
Keltner channels have a multiplier of 2 & 3 on the Chart (3 being the outer).
How do I use this indicator? Once the teal dots are inside the solid red lines this would indicate that TTMperiod of low market volatility (the market is preparing itself for an explosive move up or down). Do some research and study how to use the TTMSqueeze method by John Carter. Disclaimer: not a guarantee of future favorable results.
Channel Lookback: Average Moving Price (CLAMP)How it works
This is a confirmation indicator based on moving averages. It compares the current price to a previous candle N periods ago, then smooths the result.
What makes this indicator novel is that it takes the smoothed curve and compares it to the previous value to see whether the slope is increasing or decreasing. Combined with a zero-cross baseline channel, we can compare the relative position of the curve, slope, or closing price to create entry signals. There are several hardcoded conditions that it checks, but this is easily changed.
Markets
The default values are best used on the SPY daily chart. With backtesting, it seemed to perform fairly well during the last year. It seems to be more accurate during choppy/bear markets, and very inaccurate during a trending market.
Eg, if you look at the period of growth that occurred during 2020, it basically said to keep shorting for months at a time. Not good. If you look at other markets (such as gold or uranium), it worked, but only if you inversed what the signal told you to do (eg going long when it says to go short). This is something you will have to test yourself, since every system and market is different. Please don't use this indicator by itself.
How to use
When combined with other indicators, this tells you whether to go long (green), go short (red), or no trade (gray). It is meant to be used as a confirmation indicator, so it will help verify other trade signals.
You can sometimes ignore the first grey circle and reuse the previous colored signal. There are a few markets (such as gold) I noticed this was helpful on; this will depend on your own trade rules and indicator system.
If you enable "simple mode" on the settings, it will draw only the final signal (long, short, no signal). I included this because it helps to reduce visual clutter.

Pivot Point Moving Average (PPMA)The script is an implementation of an indicator called "PPMA", which stands for "Pivot Point Moving Average." This indicator is designed to be used as a overlay, meaning that it will be plotted on top of the underlying asset's price chart.
The main function of the PPMA indicator is to calculate a moving average based on pivot points of the underlying asset. Pivot points are commonly used in technical analysis to identify key levels of support and resistance, and this indicator uses the pivot points in a unique way to calculate the moving average.
The indicator's main function, "ppma()," is defined as taking two input parameters, "left" and "right." These parameters determine the number of bars to the left and right of a pivot point that will be used to calculate the moving average. The function uses the "ta.pivothigh()" and "ta.pivotlow()" functions to identify pivot points for the high and low prices, respectively. Then the function uses the "ta.change()" function to identify if there is a change in pivot point.
The function keeps track of the number of bars and their sum from the last pivot point until the next pivot point is reached. If there is a change in pivot point, it will reset the count and sum. It will return the sum divided by the count, which is the moving average of the prices between the two pivot points.
The script then uses the PPMA function to plot the moving average on the chart using the "plot()" function. The user is able to adjust the number of bars to the left and right of the pivot point using the "left" and "right" input parameters.
In summary, the PPMA indicator is a unique moving average that uses pivot points to calculate the average. Morning Option Pullback IndicatorI designed this indicator to help me identify Option CALL and PUT signals for the QQQ and SPY on the 1 min chart.
Summary of how it works
1. It identifies the Pre-Market channel High and Low and draws green and red lines for the day at these levels.
2. Waits for a morning or afternoon sessions breakout/breakdown of price out of that channel.
3. The buy a CALL or PUT signal is when price pulls back to the EMA Medium line after breaking out of the channel.
4. Settings allow adjusting of when the signal happens
5. EMA Short (5) and EMA Medium (20) must stay apart for a selectable number of bars
6. For a CALL signal, the Price and EMA Medium (20) must be above the Pre Market High line when price pulls back to EMA Medium (20) line
7. There is a selectable adjustment to allow the signal to trigger when the price comes within a close enough range of the EMA Medium and PM High lines
8. There is a TICK.US filter that you can use to only signal a CALL when the TICK.US 10 min chart shows the average of the EMA5 and EMA20 is over 100
9. It has Buy and Sell signal Alerts and user adjustable Stop Loss and Profit Taker settings.
10. EMA Settings are adjustable and can show up to 3 EMA's on the chart. I personally like the EMA5 and 20. Others may use something similar like 9 and 21. It's user selectable.
S&P500 Sectors Relative Overviewdear fellows,
this indicator is yet another representation of S&P 500 industry sectors.
it is inspired by mr. stanley drukenmiller who in an interview mentioned that he knows no better market forecaster than the inside of the sp500 itself, which are its industry sectors.
thus, we have been for a while thinking on how to represent the performance of these sectors such that one could visually estimated the current stage of the cycle, and grasp the next one.
unfortunatelly, we believe this cannot be achieved by solely looking into SP500 industry sectors. perhaps coupled with a broad market indicator like our MRI, for instance, one can have greater odds of success.
what does it show
it displays colorfully through out time how each sector travels through its 200 period high and lows.
note that an alternative view of the sectors relatively to SPX could be considered, but by now we focused on the relative performance against its recent past (200 period, regardless the timeframe).
over the colored columns we've plotted in white the SPX under the same logic.
how is it calculated
each sector price is converged into a percentage of how near it is to its 200 period low.
so, when the price of the sector index equals the 200 period min, it is valued as 0.
when it equals the 200 period max, it is valued as 100.
same for the white plot of SPX above the colored columns.
thus a flat reading at 100 makes it indistinguishable a continued ATH extension from a pause at the ATH.
how is it colored
when the converted price results in a value lesser or equal 33, its respective bar is colored in red.
when it is between 33 and 66, the bar is colored in yellow.
and when it lies above 66, in green.
on how is it grouped
the specific ordering of the sectors is not yet settled.
we've grouped it visually based on likelihood.
on how to use this indicator
although we believe that it does not suffice for any conclusion on the market, we do not believe that an above chart can improve the resulting insight. so, at least by the time being, we recommend it to be stared alone, although not exclusively, by trader.
