market manipulation- one case study and how to detect and profit

Notes:
The time scale here is actually minutes. TV doesn't let you post short timescales over significant intervals like this. It's most of the weekend, 12/10-12/11/2022. This is a setup for an easy short position.

Here I am showing how the market was being manipulated, likely by a bot, where there is a clear timeframe for the dump/pump action all weekend- although no significant price action up or down. It gave the illusion of things for retailers to pounce on all weekend. (My guess is it was the exchange, Kucoin, doing this. I have my reasons. They will mess with their data feeds on very short timescales, especially in futures. You've been warned.)

At the end of the weekend- Sunday night- came a significantly larger pump. This clears the leveraged shorts out of the way. Then a dump, which kept going and grew a life of its own after that.

I got out at 16999 since 17k is a supposed "emotional" support level (there were other reasons, there were some orders on the books there too). It kept going but doesn't matter: it was an easy 1.5% profit, and if you enter it leveraged at the right time, possibly much more.

This exact same cycle can be seen on many other weekends for the past several months- look for yourself.

Have fun and keep your leverage low/margin high/smiles bright.
