Participants in Option Trading

There are mainly four types of participants:

Buyers of Calls: Expect the price to rise.

Sellers of Calls (Writers): Expect the price to stay the same or fall.

Buyers of Puts: Expect the price to fall.

Sellers of Puts (Writers): Expect the price to stay the same or rise.
