Understanding Trends: Indicators, Trendlines, and Pivots

In this video I describe trends, what the are, what a proper trend should look like and ways of indentifying a trend.

I cover the following tools to identify trends:

• Trendlines (with consistency)
  
• Internal Trendlines
  
• Indicators: Linear regression, EMA, Channels/Bands
  
• Pivot swings
  

I think no matter how YOU define a trend, it should be the following things:

• Consistent
  
• Measurable - so you can analyze it later
  
• Fit your trading style
