Through the DMI Trade Zone you can find safe areas to trade in the Spot market.
The logic behind the indicator is:
- If the Positive Directional Movement (+DI) is greater than the Negative Directional Movement (-DI) then the Average Directional Movement Index (ADX) will be green with an opaque white background.
- If the Positive Directional Movement (+DI) is less...
Moving Average Convergence Divergence – MACD
The MACD is an extremely popular indicator used in technical analysis. It can be used to identify aspects of a security's overall trend. Most notably these aspects are momentum, as well as trend direction and duration. What makes the MACD so informative is that it is actually the combination of two different types of...
I have always been a huge fan of ADX. Its good for finding out good trending moves.
But it has been said that only ADX after 20 or 25 is good for trending market, but few trend gets completed at that level.
So I have come up with a logic to find out the rising ADX. This could be used to determine the trending moves from the start.
When close is...
This is a study indicator that shows the entries in the strategy seen in one of the youtube channel so it does not belong to me. I can't tell who it is because it's against the House Rules to advertise but you can find out if you look for it on youtube. Default values of oscilators and ema adjusted as suggested. He says he got the best results in 5 min timeframe...
MACD with MACD Derivative, Crossings Above and Below Zero, Shading for ADX Smoothing and Overlayed RSI
Primarily a moving average convergence divergence (MACD) momentum indicator. Also includes a MACD Derivative overlay to show when momentum has peaked. Displays triangle symbols when the MACD line crosses the signal line (larger triangle when MACD crosses...
What is it?
This indicator is a visual representation of the ADX indicator that shows where the areas of weak trends are. Anything shaded in a gray background implicates that the chosen market is experiencing a weak trend.
These areas of weak trends are seen typically when ADX drops below 20-25 but this script is customizable to change where you want that...
Basically, when the background is:
White = no defined direction
Light blue = up.
Dark blue = well defined up
Light red = down
Dark red = well defined down
Blue/red centered circle = change of direction
Red circle on top = possible short entry
Blue circle at the bottom = possible long entry
Basicamente, quando o fundo é:
Branco = sem direção...
Forex Master v4.0 is a mean-reversion algorithm currently optimized for trading the EUR/USD pair on the 5M chart interval. All indicator inputs use the period's closing price and all trades are executed at the open of the period following the period where the trade signal was generated.
There are 3 main components that make up Forex Master v4.0:
A simple modification of the built-in "Average Directional Index":
To identify wether there is an uptrend or a downtrend, the function color is conditional:
no trend: black
small uptrend (weak threshold): light green
big uptrend (strong threshold): green
small downtrend (weak threshold): light red
big downtrend (strong threshold): red
Combined LazyBears ZeroLag EMA and CapnOscars moving average ADX. Here's the result.
I figured it could be used as a trend trendtrading system,
ADX red + ema cross downards = short.
ADX green + ema cross up = long.
ADX black + ema cross = no trade
Or something along those line. A way filter out whipsaws.
This is just something I threw together in 5 min, so...
Edit of the popular script by @TraderR0BERT
- horizontal colored areas, indication weak/medium/strong trend
- vertical bars, signaling trend/momentum changes
- DI+ vs DI- contraction/expansion histogram (to measure the DI volatility)
So... the popular version of "ADX and DI" shown on tradingview by masanakamura uses some wacky and incorrect formula for DI and uses SMA instead of the Wilder's MA that ADX/DI is supposed to use, and doesn't give the correct ADX and DI values. The Tradingview "Average Directional Index" uses the correct calculation but doesn't show DI+ and DI-. So, here it is with...
This script is a useful tool to use to identify the current market. It includes three other indicators:
1. ATR (combined with a SMA of the ATR)
It allows you to filter for when the market is trending vs. when the market is ranging by using any of the three indicators. You can also combine them to find extremely good trends to trade, or if you're a...
This script fires off a buy alert when the ADX is rising and above a user-defined value (default 25). It fires off a sell signal when ADX starts sloping downward. The lookback period to determine if it is sloping up/down (in bars) is also configurable by the user. The plot highlights green when there is a "go" signal. Thanks to @9e52f12edd034d28bdd5544e7ff92e for the idea.
This ia full strategy made with a combination of a trender, volume, volatility and oscillator.
In this case we only go long.
Modified RSI logic, not using OB/OS
ADX with EMA applied
The rules are : we check if we are in a uptrend on psar, together with a positive value in volume, rsi is above the middle line(50), using...
This DMI I modified to see the trend more clearly, and the ADX line changes according to the trend force, which is perfectly configurable, the configuration I left my default configuration, in case you want to modify it because you see the trend in different values, feel free, and basically the columns are the average of DI and also indicate the trend more...
Average Directional Movement Index
Momentum based tool to measure trend strength on scale of 1-100
Similar to the aroon but incorporates a 3rd measure, while aroon uses two
The majority of these calculations were pre-existing in older pine scripts but have since been updated
signals are given when -DI and +DI cross, ADX illustrates corresponding...
