I've been working on a top and bottom picker script over the past couple of weeks, based on RSI of multiple timeframe closing price. It've been a pretty good trading system that's tested over the last meteoric rise from 220~270 and back down to 230 right now, and I think it should be released to the community.
Sure, I'm not worried about this strategy not working...
Qstick indicator as described by Tushar S. Chande and Stanley Kroll in the New Technical trader. The indicator shows the range between open and close for the specified period of time boosted by the presence of exponential moving average.
Qstick is best to discover divergence and find local tops and bottoms.
VixFix Enhanced by PeterO - Inverse Vix_Fix added, so now this is a dual-sided script (original VixFix shows only lows)
Note from the author: I wouldn't advise betting your strategies entirely on VixFix concept.

Displays "spike days" by colouring the bars (Default: yellow for a Spike High and blue for a Spike Low)
Spike Day's definition taken from Jack D Schwager's Book: A Complete Guide to the Futures Market: Technical Analysis, Trading Systems, Fundamental Analysis, Options, Spreads, and Trading Principles
A spike is:
A wide difference between the spike high and...
Top signal: reaches -100 when the color is yellow
Bottom signal: reaches -100 when the color is red
This script calculate a stochastic oscillator of BBW, and defines a top and a bottom as its highest in N bars.
A very noisy indicator to detect bottoms and new uptrends.
Original idea by ChartArt.
First published indicator - constructive criticism welcome.
(The indicator is experimental and doesn't work most of the time.)
I would describe it as an "coincident indicator". The signals occur at approximately the same time as the conditions it signifies. Rather than...
This is a modified RSI that prints a bottom signal directly on your price chart.
It pulls the data (in the default settings) from the weekly chart no matter on what timeframe you are on.
You can adjust the timeframe and threshold.
Default settings work best for big BTC cycles.
After reading Cam Hui's blog post about his "Trifecta" bottom spotting model I thought I'd try my hand at scripting it as an indicator. The results are pretty close to what he describes. Though the data TradingView feeds me doesn't seem to be identical to what he's using on StockCharts.com the results are close enough that I will call the effort a success worth publishing.
