If the U.S. hits its debt ceiling, gold, U.S. Treasuries and bitcoin would be the top three preferred assets for investors, more popular than the U.S. dollar, Japanese yen, Swiss franc and other assets. 51.7% of professional investors and 45.7% of retail investors would prefer to buy gold, 14% of professional investors and 15.1% of retail investors would prefer to buy Treasuries, and 7.8% of professional investors and 11.3% of retail investors would prefer to buy Bitcoin.
