How you position your trade is totally up to you.
You can be right, because your account can stand 100,000 points.
I can be wrong coz my account can stand only 500 points.
To someone holding for a decade. The fluctuation in too small 10k pips.
For scalper 10pips is a big deal.
So there's no right or wrong.
Only one's account matters and how long are you invested.
