INFLATION Is Worse Than CPI Indicates
Inflation over last year...
Home Prices: +19.5%
Import Prices: +10.7%
PPI: +9.6%
CPI: +6.8%
PCE: +5.1%
Back in May of this year, I warned that there is a worrisome inflation problem on going.
At the same time, I was cautious that we had some YOY problems with the chart (going from lockdowns to opening up) that skewed it a bit.
having said that, the concern was based on the speed at which inflation was rising. Well, the concerns were well warranted as we see today.
Macro Economics takes a while to play out. As such it is very unappealing to most tradingview participants. I suggest that learning basic Macro
is well worth your time for investors.
