The Metals Company is a startup that deals (or is supposed to deal) with collecting nodules from the seabed. It is currently flying on the wings of Trump's support for mining rare earth minerals on the seabed (link). The problem is the uneconomical nature (for now) of such operations. The story is reminiscent of Transocean (
