OVERVIEW
RR-RSI is an advanced implementation of the Relative Strength Index designed to address fundamental limitations in traditional calendar-based RSI calculations. Applicable to all liquid markets including stocks, forex, cryptocurrencies, and commodities.

THE PROBLEM WITH STANDARD RSI
Traditional RSI samples price at fixed calendar intervals (every 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, etc.) regardless of actual market activity. This approach treats high-volume, volatile trading sessions the same as quiet periods, periods of genuine institutional participation identically to retail-only noise, and active market hours equally to off-hours with minimal activity.
This creates false signals during low-activity periods and can miss significant moves during high-activity periods.

HOW RR-RSI WORKS DIFFERENTLY

RR-RSI employs a proprietary sampling methodology that accounts for actual market dynamics rather than arbitrary time intervals. The indicator automatically adjusts to current market volatility conditions, trading volume intensity, and price action significance.
This adaptive approach generates approximately 2.7x more overbought/oversold signals than standard RSI while maintaining signal quality, helping traders identify potential reversals that traditional RSI misses.

Overbought Alert: RSI crosses above 70
Oversold Alert: RSI crosses below 30
Bullish Momentum: RSI crosses above 50

Overbought Peak: Momentum exhaustion at extremes
Oversold Peak: Momentum exhaustion at extremes
Bullish Divergence: Price lower low plus RSI higher low
Bearish Divergence: Price higher high plus RSI lower high

Reference Lines: Toggle horizontal lines at key levels (70/30/50)
Zone Fills: Optional shaded areas in overbought/oversold zones
Background Stripes: Vertical background coloring when RSI is extreme

Peak Detection:

Identifies potential momentum exhaustion points at range extremes, providing advance warning of possible reversals before they occur.

Divergence Detection:

Uses standard TradingView divergence logic. Works across all timeframes and throughout the full RSI range, not just at extremes. Divergences are often best identified by traders visual confirmation.

Alert Setup:

Add indicator to chart

INTERPRETATION

RSI Levels:
Above 70: Overbought - selling pressure likely
Below 30: Oversold - buying pressure likely
Above 50: Bullish momentum
Below 50: Bearish momentum
40-60: Neutral zone

Peak Signals:
Peak at overbought: Momentum exhaustion, reversal down likely
Peak at oversold: Momentum exhaustion, reversal up likely

Divergence Signals:

Bullish: Price makes lower low while RSI makes higher low equals selling exhaustion
Bearish: Price makes higher high while RSI makes lower high equals buying exhaustion
