Kraken Altcoin IndexIndex based upon the valuation of LTC, ETH, ETC, XMR and ZEC in XBT, USD and EUR
Options:
- choose which of the above alt coins are part of the index
- choose whether you want to see the valuation in XBT, USD or EUR
Note that because of the high valuation of ZEC during the launch period and the months thereafter it has a significant effect on the index. This is true as well for XMR, though to lesser extend.
Because of these effect, ZEC and XMR are not taken part of the index by default.

UltraTrends.V2This is version 2 of Ultratrends.
Like the last version:
Fuschia is pivot down, yellow is pivot up, up is confirmed up, down is confirmed down, green is uptrend, red is downtrend, gray is no trend.
"UP" Is a good indication that the market is going to go up. "DOWN" is a good indication that the market will go down. However, use your head. Think about support / resistance.
Additions:
- 200 EMA/SMA Average (Thick aqua line): Great for determining trend and acts as support / resistance.
- 50 SMA (thin yellow line): Use for 50/200 crosses to determine trend. Serves as weaker resistance.
- Dynamic Pivot points (by finn): Serve as support / resistance levels. Plotted as horizontal dots.
- Early move detection: demonstrated by either a green triangle below bar or red triangle above bar.
- "Hot Zones": volume based background highlighting the manifestation of bullish conditions. Default color is white, so if you use a lighter background, please change it to another color.

This indicator is very useful for spotting trends / tops / bottoms.
This is the ultimate altcoin pump spotting tool. Use on higher timeframes for greatest accuracy. If altcoin is newish (ZEC for example), try 4h rather than 1D or 3D.
Green = Uptrend
Red = Downtrend
Gray = Top/local top, bottom/local bottom, or continuation. You will need some knowledge of price action to determine which condition applies.
You can use the oscillator at the bottom as a measure of momentum / trend strength. You can draw trendlines on the oscillator on the top/bottom or the interior.
altcoin index oscillatorUse
Compare alt coins to the "altcoin index", an average of a selection of alt coins.
Above zero means the coin you are viewing is worth more than the index, indicating the possibility of overbought.
Below zero indicating the opposite, a possibility of oversold.
Press the cog icon to select which alt coins you want included in the index.
Notes
The coins in the index are ALTBTC, meaning their value against BTC. Due to this the indicator is useless when viewing BTC only charts.
altcoin index overlayPurpose
This displays the "altcoin index" as a plot on your chart. Suggested use is coupled with the "altcoin index oscillator".
Use
Add it as an indicator while looking at the chart you would like to assess. Click the settings button (cog) to select which coins you would like included in the index.
You can couple this tool with the "altcoin index oscillator" indicator to view the correlation.
Notes
The "altcoin index" is the average BTC price of a selection of altcoins. Therefore this is their relation to bitcoin and not any national currency. Due to this, the indicator will be useless if you try to use it with BTCUSD etc.
altcoin index oscillatorPurpose
This will give indication as to whether a specific altcoin is overbought or oversold, as determined by it's difference from the "altcoin index".
if the current security is above the index, the oscillator will show above zero.
if the current security is below the index, the oscillator will show below zero.
Use
