Market Sessions + Killzones [Income Statement]A persistent challenge in intraday trading is that price behaviour is not uniform across the 24-hour clock. Volatility, liquidity, and directional bias are heavily concentrated in specific windows tied to the opening and closing of major financial centres.
Market Sessions + Killzones indicator maps those windows directly onto the chart, layers in the structural tools that ICT-based traders use to read them, and combines everything into a single cohesive visual so traders do not need to manage multiple overlapping indicators.
WHY THESE FEATURES ARE COMBINED
Session ranges, killzones, overlap periods, and previous session highs/lows are not independent ideas — they are sequential layers of the same framework. The session range defines the pool of liquidity that formed during a given market period. The previous session high and low represent the edges of that pool (similar to support and resistance) and become magnets for price in the following session. Killzones are the time windows within which institutional order flow is most likely to be active and capable of driving price through those levels. The overlap periods are where two separate liquidity pools interact simultaneously, producing the conditions most likely to generate sharp directional moves.
Combining all four in one indicator preserves the cause-and-effect relationship between them. Displaying sessions without killzones, or killzones without previous session levels, loses the context that makes each layer meaningful.
HOW THE INDICATOR WORKS
Session Boundaries
Each session (Tokyo, London, New York, optional Sydney) is tracked using the exchange's native timezone, not a fixed UTC offset. This matters because major sessions observe daylight saving time on different schedules, and a fixed-offset approach will silently drift by an hour during DST transitions. The script uses Pine's time() function with named timezone strings (Asia/Tokyo, Europe/London, etc.) to handle this automatically.
As each session progresses, the script tracks the running high and low bar-by-bar and extends the boundary lines to the current bar. At session close, the lines are locked in place and faded to indicate a completed session — distinguishing live sessions from historical ones at a glance.
Midpoint and Quartile Lines
Within each session, the script calculates the 50% midpoint and the 25%/75% quartile levels of the live range. These levels are drawn not because they are support/resistance in the classical sense, but because they divide the session's range into statistically meaningful zones. In ICT methodology, the midpoint (sometimes called the equilibrium) is a commonly referenced level for entries and targets. The quartiles indicate whether price is in the upper or lower half of the session's distribution.
Previous Session Highs and Lows
When a new session opens, the script saves the completed session's high and low and draws them forward as dashed lines into the new session. These levels represent the most visible liquidity pools from the prior period — stop-losses from traders who traded that session cluster above and below them. Price frequently targets these levels before establishing a new directional move.
ICT Killzones
Killzones are specific time windows identified in ICT methodology as high-probability trading periods:
• London Killzone: 02:00–05:00 New York time — the pre-London and early London open window, a period of frequent liquidity grabs before the main London trend establishes.
• New York Killzone: 07:00–10:00 New York time — encompasses the NY pre-market and the first 30 minutes of the NY open, the most liquid window of the trading day for USD pairs and US indices.
Each killzone is rendered as a box that expands dynamically with price throughout the window and locks when the window closes. The box captures the exact range of price movement during that period, making it easy to measure killzone expansion and compare it to the current session range.
Overlap Periods
Two overlap windows are detected and highlighted:
• Tokyo + London overlap: the brief window where Asian and European institutional flow intersect.
• London + New York overlap (08:30–12:00 ET approximately): historically the highest-volume period of the trading day for most major pairs. This overlap frequently produces the session's largest directional move or the strongest reversal of an earlier London move.
The overlap boxes expand dynamically with price, making it simple to see how much range was generated during the high-liquidity window versus the rest of the session.
Live Statistics Table
The table in the top-right corner displays the live session high, low, range in points, and range as a percentage of the 14-period ATR. The ATR ratio is the key metric here: it tells you not just how far price has moved, but how that move compares to recent volatility. A session range at 120% ATR suggests an unusually expansive session; one at 40% suggests compression that may precede a breakout.
SETTINGS GUIDE
Swing Length: Not applicable to this indicator.
Show Midpoint / Quartile Lines: Toggle to reduce visual noise on lower timeframes where the chart is already dense.
Show Prev Session H/L: Disable if you only want the current session boundaries and killzones without the historical dashed levels.
Show Overlap Zones: Disable for cleaner charts on assets where overlap volatility is less relevant (e.g. Asian equity CFDs).
Show ICT Killzones: Toggle independently of sessions — useful if you want session ranges as context but only want to trade the killzone windows.
Range as % ATR: Enables the ATR normalisation column in the table.
TIMEFRAME
This indicator is intentionally restricted to timeframes below 1 hour. Session structure and killzones are intraday concepts — applying them to daily or weekly charts produces meaningless output. Recommended: 1m, 3m, 5m, 15m, or 30m.
USAGE NOTES
This indicator provides structural context, not signals. A common workflow is to identify the previous session high or low as a liquidity target, wait for price to enter a killzone, then use a separate entry model (e.g. order block, fair value gap, or market structure shift) to time the trade. The indicator does not generate buy or sell signals on its own. Indicatore

NOA Trading Sessions ProNOA Trading Sessions Pro
This indicator plots up to four custom trading sessions on your chart and calculates real-time statistics for volume, range, and volatility. It is built to provide the exact metrics used on institutional trading desks to measure market context.
Core Mechanics
You can define the start and end times, IANA timezone, and colors for four different sessions (for example: Tokyo, London, Pre-Market, New York). The script plots the open, high, low, and close levels of the active session, along with an optional mid-line or session VWAP.
A data box anchors below each session. To prevent the text from overlapping with price bars or volume profiles, the script uses a dynamic ATR offset to push the label into empty chart space. This keeps the chart readable on any timeframe or asset class.
Reading the Data Like an Institutional Trader
Retail traders often trade patterns; institutional traders trade statistics. The data box provides the context needed to understand if a move is legitimate, exhausted, or a trap.
Range vs. Average Range: The indicator tracks the current session range and compares it to the historical average for that specific time of day. If the London session typically moves 80 ticks and currently sits at 30 ticks, the market is compressing and a move is likely pending.
Relative Volume (RVol): Volume validates price. The script calculates a volume multiplier comparing the current session to its historical average. If price breaks a session high on 0.5x volume, it is likely a liquidity sweep or a false breakout. If it breaks on 1.5x volume or higher, institutions are actively participating and the breakout is valid.
Delta: This measures the net directional push from the session open. Comparing the Delta to the total Range tells you how directional the session is versus how much it is just chopping back and forth.
VWAP: The Volume Weighted Average Price is the institutional baseline. Price extending far from VWAP on low relative volume is a prime condition for mean reversion. Price holding above VWAP on high relative volume signals sustained institutional accumulation.
The Volatility Heatmap
The text color in the data box shifts automatically based on how the current range compares to the historical average range. This helps identify exhaustion and expansion in real time.
Gray (Under 70%): The session is in a compression phase. Price is chopping in a tight range. Expect mean reversion and avoid trading breakouts.
White (70% to 99%): Normal distribution. The session is developing as statistically expected.
Yellow (100% to 119%): Exhaustion. The session has met its historical daily target. Late breakouts at this stage have a high probability of failure, and institutional traders are likely taking profit.
Red (120%+): Expansion. This is a statistical outlier or a trend day, usually driven by high-impact news. Mean reversion strategies will fail here; you only trade with the momentum.

Sessions ExtendedSessions Extended
Based on the original "Sessions" indicator by LuxAlgo, this script is a complete
rewrite and substantial expansion. It is built for traders who want control
over session visualization, deep volume analytics, and a live dashboard that works
on any chart timeframe from 1 minute up to 1 week.
=============================================================================
WHAT CHANGED COMPARED TO THE ORIGINAL "SESSIONS" INDICATOR
=============================================================================
SESSIONS
Original: 4 fixed sessions (New York, London, Tokyo, Sydney)
Extended: 11 fully independent sessions labeled A through K, each with its own
complete settings group. The default setup covers the major forex windows:
Asia, London, New York, Sydney, Tokyo I, Hong Kong, Singapore I, Tokyo II,
Singapore II, EU pre-London, and US pre-NY.
PER-SESSION STYLING
Original: One shared background color and transparency, border always dotted,
no width control.
Extended: Per-session background color and transparency, fully independent of
the border color. Per-session border style (Dotted / Dashed / Solid) and border
width (1 to 4 pixels). Every session box can have a completely unique appearance.
SESSION LABELS
Original: One fixed label per session, always tiny, always at the session high.
Extended: Per-session label color and size (Tiny / Small / Normal / Large / Huge).
A numeric "Name Offset" input shifts the label upward by a chosen number of
blank lines, keeping label height constant regardless of zoom level. An optional
second label shows the actual session open and close times in HH:mm format with
its own independent offset, color, and size.
OVERLAYS PER SESSION
Each of the 11 sessions independently supports seven overlay types:
Range Box — High/Low box drawn for each session occurrence
Trendline — Linear regression line (best-fit straight line through closes)
Std Band — Dashed lines at +1σ and -1σ around the regression line.
Works independently — Trendline does not need to be active.
Bars outside the bands indicate unusual price movement.
Mean — Cumulative average of all closing prices within the session,
drawn as a connected line. Equal weight per bar, no volume
influence. See "Understanding Mean vs VWAP" below.
VWAP — Volume-Weighted Average Price. Institutional benchmark.
See "Understanding Mean vs VWAP" below.
Max/Min — Short horizontal tick marks at session High and Low
Midpoint — Horizontal line at the 50% level of the session High/Low range
EXTENDED HIGH/LOW LINES
Each session can project its previous High and Low as horizontal lines extending
to the right of the chart — classic support and resistance reference levels.
Fully configurable per session:
- Line color (independent from the session border color)
- Line style: Solid, Dashed, or Dotted
- Line width: 1 to 4 pixels
- Optional end-of-line label showing session name and date (dd.MM.yy)
- Label text color, background color, and background transparency
A global "Max Extended H/L Lines" setting (Range Settings group, default 10)
caps the total number of line pairs visible across all sessions combined.
DAYS BACK FILTER
Each session has a "Last N sessions" input. When set to 0 (default), all
available history is shown. When set to 1–50, only the N most recent occurrences
are drawn. The pruning applies consistently to boxes, labels, Max/Min lines,
Midpoint lines, Mean lines, VWAP plots, and Extended H/L lines.
TIMEZONE
A "Use Exchange Timezone" checkbox follows the exchange timezone automatically
(syminfo.timezone). When unchecked, a UTC Offset field (−12 to +14) enables
manual adjustment. This is particularly useful for handling Daylight Saving Time
transitions without needing to touch any session time strings.

THE DASHBOARD — COMPLETE REFERENCE
=============================================================================
ENABLING AND POSITIONING
Find the Dashboard group in Settings. Toggle "Show Dashboard" to show or hide
the panel. Choose from four positions (Top Left, Top Right, Bottom Left,
Bottom Right) and four sizes (Tiny, Small, Normal, Large).
DASHBOARD MODES
The dashboard has three display modes, selected via the "Volume & Sigma columns"
and "Show Buy/Sell Volume" toggles:
Standard mode (both off):
Session | Trend
Advanced mode (Volume & Sigma on):
Session | Volume | Sigma | Trend
Advanced + Buy/Sell mode (both on):
Session | Volume | Sigma | ▲Buy ▼Sell | Trend
COLUMN DESCRIPTIONS
Session
The session name (e.g. ASIA, LONDON, NEW YORK). The cell background
changes color to reflect the session state:
Active background color — session currently open
Inactive background color — session closed today (snapshot visible)
Dimmed border color — session not yet started today or yesterday data
Volume
Total traded volume for the session's measurement window. Updates live
while the session is open. Freezes as a snapshot when it closes.
Calculated at 1-minute resolution via request.security — accurate on
any chart timeframe.
Sigma (σ)
Standard deviation of closing prices within the session. Measures how
much price spread around its average. A high Sigma indicates a volatile,
wide-ranging session. A low Sigma indicates tight, consolidating price
action. Updates live, freezes on session close.
▲Buy ▼Sell (optional, "Show Buy/Sell Volume")
Volume split by bar direction. Up-bars (Close ≥ Open) count as buy volume,
down-bars count as sell. Note: this is an approximation — Pine Script
cannot access TradingView's internal tick-level buy/sell data.
Open / High / Low (optional, "Show O/H/L + Change")
The session's opening price, highest traded price, and lowest traded price.
These are permanent historical facts and remain visible (dimmed) even after
the session closes and after the trading day resets.
Chg (optional, "Show O/H/L + Change")
The change from session Open to session Close: Close − Open.
Display format:
+1.234 green — session closed above its open (bullish)
-1.234 red — session closed below its open (bearish)
±0.000 grey — session closed exactly at its open (neutral)
The three colors (up, down, flat) are independently configurable.
Trend (r²)
The R-squared value of the linear regression for the session. Ranges from
−1.00 to +1.00. Positive values indicate an upward trend, negative values
a downward trend. Values near 0 indicate a sideways/choppy session.
The cell background is colored green (bullish) or red (bearish) based on
the sign, making trend direction scannable at a glance.
Timer (optional, "Show Timer column")
Countdown to the next relevant session event:
▼ HH:MM — session is currently open, counting down to close
▲ HH:MM — session is closed, counting up to next open
▲ Xd HH:MM — session opens in more than 24 hours (e.g. weekend gap)
The timer is updated in real time using timenow. It is visible at all
times, including when the market is closed. Weekend gaps are handled
correctly: sessions that open Monday morning show 2d+ on Friday evening,
while sessions still opening later on Friday show the same-day countdown.
The timer text is colored with the active session color when open, or
dimmed when the session is waiting to open.
DAY TOTAL ROW
When one or more sessions have "In Day Total" checked in their settings,
a Day Total row appears at the bottom of the dashboard. It shows:
- The sum of all Volume values from today's In-Day-Total sessions
- The average Sigma across those sessions
Critically , Day Total counts only sessions that have actually run since the
last anchor-session reset — not yesterday's data. If ASIA (the default anchor)
opened at 18:00 EST and New York has not yet run today, New York's data from
the previous day will appear in its row (dimmed) but will not be included in
Day Total.
YESTERDAY ROW
When all sessions have closed, a Yesterday row appears showing the prior
trading day's totals for comparison. This row disappears once the new
trading day begins.
STALE DATA — THREE BRIGHTNESS LEVELS
The dashboard uses text brightness to communicate data age at a glance:
Full brightness — session is currently active (live data)
Dimmed — session ran and closed today (today's snapshot)
More dimmed — session has data from the previous day (no run today yet)
Near-invisible — session has no data at all (never run or newly enabled)
The dim percentage is configurable ("Stale data text dim", 0–90%).
RESET LOGIC — HOW THE TRADING DAY IS DEFINED
The dashboard needs to know when a new trading day begins. This is controlled
by "Reset Stats when Session starts" in the Dashboard group (default: A = ASIA).
When the selected anchor session opens:
- All "ran today" tracking flags are cleared
- Day Total recalculates from zero
- Sessions not yet run show their previous data dimmed until they run again
Snapshot data inside each session's measurement function persists until the
session runs again and overwrites it. This means US pre-NY data from 08:30
yesterday is still visible in the dashboard at 04:00 today, correctly dimmed,
and correctly excluded from Day Total.
VOLUME MEASUREMENT WINDOW
Each session has a separate "Vol window" session input. By default this matches
the display session, but you can narrow it. For example, you could display the
full 18-hour ASIA box but only measure volume for the first two hours of
activity. The Vol window does not affect the displayed box or overlays —
it only affects Volume, Sigma, Buy/Sell, and Trend statistics.
DASHBOARD COLORS (configurable)
Active cell background — highlight color for currently open sessions
Inactive cell background — color for closed sessions with today's data
Text color — all non-highlighted cell text
Border color — table grid lines
Background — dashboard panel fill and transparency
Change Up / Down / Flat — three independent colors for the Chg column
Stale data dim % — how strongly to dim closed and yesterday data
=============================================================================
UNDERSTANDING MEAN vs VWAP
=============================================================================
Mean is the simple average of all closing prices within the session:
(Close₁ + Close₂ + ... + Closeₙ) / N
Every bar contributes equally regardless of how much was traded. Mean shows
the geometric center of price over time — a neutral, unweighted reference.
VWAP (Volume Weighted Average Price):
Σ(Close × Volume) / Σ(Volume)
Bars with high volume pull the VWAP toward them. Institutions use VWAP as
the primary benchmark for execution quality. A price above VWAP signals that
the session is running bullish on a volume-weighted basis; below is bearish.
The practical difference: when a sharp directional move occurs on thin volume,
Mean shifts significantly because it counts each bar equally. VWAP barely
reacts because little volume participated in the move. This divergence — Mean
far from VWAP — can itself be a signal that the move lacks conviction.
=============================================================================
DEFAULT SESSION CONFIGURATION (UTC-5 / New York EST)
=============================================================================
A ASIA 18:00 – 02:00 In Day Total, Anchor Reset (enabled)
B LONDON 02:00 – 08:00 In Day Total (enabled)
C NEW YORK 08:00 – 17:00 In Day Total (enabled)
D Sydney 18:00 – 00:00 (enabled)
E Tokyo I 19:00 – 21:30 (enabled)

J EU pre-Lon 02:00 – 03:00 (enabled)
K US pre-NY 08:00 – 09:30 (enabled)
All times are in UTC-5 (New York EST). Adjust the UTC Offset setting or enable
"Use Exchange Timezone" to match your local time.
Sessions H through K are disabled by default. Enable them in their respective
settings group. Note that newly enabled sessions will show no data until
they have run at least once after being activated.
=============================================================================
SETUP GUIDE — GETTING STARTED
=============================================================================
Step 1 — Timezone
Open Settings → Timezone. If your instrument uses the exchange timezone
natively, enable "Use Exchange Timezone". Otherwise set UTC Offset to your
local offset (e.g. -5 for New York EST, +1 for Berlin CET). If your region
uses DST and TradingView does not adjust automatically, update this offset
manually at DST transitions.
Step 2 — Sessions
Sessions A (ASIA), B (LONDON), and C (NEW YORK) are enabled by default with
commonly used forex hours. Adjust the session time strings to match your
instrument's actual active hours. Enable additional sessions (D through K) as
needed from their settings groups.
Step 3 — Dashboard
Open Settings → Dashboard. Enable "Show Dashboard". Choose your preferred
position and size. Enable "Volume & Sigma columns" for full statistics.
Enable "Show Timer column" to see live countdowns. Configure which sessions
should contribute to Day Total via the "In Day Total" checkbox in each
session's group.
Step 4 — Overlays
For each session you want to analyze deeply, enable the overlays relevant
to your strategy. Recommended starting set: Range Box (always on), VWAP for
institutional context, Mean for a price-weighted counterpart, Std Band for
volatility context.
Step 5 — Extended H/L Lines
Enable "Ext H/L" in any session group to project that session's previous
High and Low forward as S/R references. Set "Max Extended H/L Lines" in
Range Settings to a comfortable number (default: 10 pairs total).
Step 6 — Days Back
If your chart history is long and performance is slow, set "Last N sessions"
in each session group to limit how many occurrences are drawn (e.g. 5 to 20).
=============================================================================
ALERTS
=============================================================================
22 alert conditions are available — one "Session Start" and one "Session End"
for each of the 11 sessions. Alerts fire only when the corresponding session's
"Show" toggle is enabled. Set alerts via the Add Alert dialog in TradingView,
selecting this indicator from the condition dropdown.
=============================================================================
LIMITATIONS AND KNOWN BEHAVIOR
=============================================================================
Buy/Sell volume approximation
Up-bar (Close ≥ Open) = Buy volume. Down-bar = Sell volume. True tick-level
data is not accessible in Pine Script. Treat this column as directional
sentiment, not precise order flow.
Initial load time
11 request.security calls at 1-minute resolution cause a delay when first
applying the indicator to a chart with long history. This is a Pine Script
constraint — the 1m resolution is required for accuracy on higher timeframes.
request.security usage
This script uses 12 of Pine Script's 40 allowed request.security calls
(11 session functions + 1 anchor-reset detector), leaving 28 available
if you build on top of this script.
Short sessions on high timeframes
Sessions shorter than the chart's bar duration (e.g. a 30-minute session on
a 4H chart) may not be detected. Use a lower timeframe for short sessions.
Timer and market holidays
The countdown timer uses calendar arithmetic, not an exchange trading calendar.
On public holidays the timer will count down to the session time as if it
were a normal trading day. Weekend detection (Friday evening, Saturday) is
handled correctly for standard Mon–Fri market hours.
Dashboard layout
Table positions are limited to the four corners as defined by Pine Script's
table API. Sub-corner pixel positioning is not supported.

════════════════════════════════════════════
🔧 HOW IT WORKS
════════════════════════════════════════════
TECHNICAL IMPLEMENTATION:
Session Tracking Algorithm:
• Detects session start/end using time() function with timezone support
• Continuously monitors and updates high/low during active session
• Finalizes range when session ends using var persistence
• Draws boxes using real-time bar_index positioning
• Maintains session ranges across multiple days for reference
Multi-Timeframe System:
• Uses ta.change(time()) detection to identify new MTF candle formation
• Constructs candles using custom Type definitions (Candle, CandleSet, Config)
• Stores OHLC data in arrays with automatic size management
• Renders using box objects (bodies) and line objects (wicks)
• Updates current candle every tick; historical candles remain static
• Calculates dynamic positioning based on user settings (offset, spacing, width)
Object-Oriented Architecture:
• Custom Type "Candle" - Stores OHLC values, timestamps, visual elements
• Custom Type "CandleSet" - Manages arrays of candles + settings per timeframe
• Custom Type "Config" - Centralizes all display configuration
• Efficient memory management via unshift() for new candles, pop() for old
Performance Optimizations:
• var declarations minimize recalculation overhead
• Conditional execution (sessions only on short timeframes)
• Maximum display limits prevent excessive object creation
• Timeframe validation at barstate.isfirst reduces redundant checks
════════════════════════════════════════════
📈 HOW TO USE
════════════════════════════════════════════
SETUP:
1. Add indicator to chart (works best on 1m-30m timeframes)
2. Open Settings → "Trading Sessions" group
- Enable desired sessions (NYO, LNO, AS, or custom)
- Select your timezone from 60+ options
- Adjust colors and transparency
3. Open Settings → "Multi-TF Candles" group
- Enable timeframes (TF1-TF8)
- Configure each timeframe and display count
- Customize colors and layout
READING THE CHART:
• Session boxes show high/low ranges during active sessions
• MTF candles display to the right of current price
• Labels identify each timeframe (15m, 1H, 4H, etc.)
• Real-time updates on the most recent MTF candle
TRADING APPLICATIONS:
Session Breakout Strategy:
→ Identify session high/low (e.g., Asian session 16:30-00:00)
→ Wait for break above/below range
→ Confirm with higher timeframe candle close
→ Enter in breakout direction, stop at opposite side of range
Multi-Timeframe Confirmation:
→ Spot setup on primary chart (e.g., 5m)
→ Verify 15m, 1H, 4H candles align with trade direction
→ Only take trades where higher TFs confirm
→ Exit when higher TF candles show reversal
Combined Session + MTF:
→ Asian session establishes range overnight
→ London Open breaks Asian high
→ Confirm with bullish 15m + 1H candles
→ Enter long with stop below Asian high
════════════════════════════════════════════
🎨 ORIGINALITY & INNOVATION
════════════════════════════════════════════
What makes this indicator original:
1. INTEGRATED DUAL-MODULE DESIGN
Unlike separate session or MTF indicators, this combines both in a single performance-optimized script, enabling powerful correlation analysis between session behavior and timeframe structure.
2. ADVANCED RENDERING SYSTEM
Uses custom Pine Script v5 Types with dynamic box/line object management instead of basic plot functions. This enables:
• Precise visual control over positioning and spacing
• Real-time updates without repainting
• Efficient memory handling via automatic cleanup
• Support for 8 simultaneous timeframes with independent settings
3. INTELLIGENT SESSION TRACKING
The algorithm continuously recalculates ranges bar-by-bar during active sessions, then preserves the final range. This differs from static zone indicators that simply draw fixed boxes at predefined levels.
4. MODULAR ARCHITECTURE
Custom Type definitions (Candle, CandleSet, Config) create extensible, maintainable code structure while supporting complex multi-timeframe operations with minimal performance impact.
5. PROFESSIONAL FLEXIBILITY
Extensive customization: 6 configurable sessions, 8 timeframe slots, 60+ timezones, granular color/sizing/spacing controls, multiple label positioning modes—adaptable to any market or trading style.
6. SMART VISUAL DESIGN
Automatic timeframe validation, dynamic label alignment options, and intelligent spacing calculations ensure clarity even with multiple timeframes displayed simultaneously.

Trading Sessions [QuantAlgo]🟢 Overview
The Trading Sessions indicator tracks and displays the four major global trading sessions: Sydney, Tokyo, London, and New York. It provides session-based background highlighting, real-time price change tracking from session open, and a data table with session status. The script works across all markets (forex, equities, commodities, crypto) and helps traders identify when specific geographic markets are active, which directly correlates with changes in liquidity and volatility patterns. Default session times are set to major financial center hours in UTC but are fully adjustable to match your trading methodology.
🟢 Key Features
→ Session Background Color Coding
Each trading session gets a distinct background color on your chart:
1. Sydney Session - Default orange, 22:00-07:00 UTC
2. Tokyo Session - Default red, 00:00-09:00 UTC
3. London Session - Default green, 08:00-16:00 UTC
4. New York Session - Default blue, 13:00-22:00 UTC
When sessions overlap, the color priority is New York > London > Tokyo > Sydney. This means if London and New York are both active, the background shows New York's color. The priority matches typical liquidity and volatility patterns where later sessions generally show higher volume.
→ Color Customization
All session colors are configurable in the Color Settings panel:
1. Click any session color input to open the color picker
2. Select your preferred color for that session
3. Use the "Background Transparency" slider (0-100) to adjust opacity. Lower values = more visible, higher values = more subtle
4. Enable "Color Price Bars" to color candlesticks themselves according to the active session instead of just the background
The Color column in the info table shows a block (█) in each session's assigned color, matching what you see on the chart background.
→ Information Table Breakdown
→ Timeframe Warning
If you're viewing a timeframe of 12 hours or higher, a red warning label appears center-screen. Session boundaries don't render accurately on high timeframes because the time() function in Pine Script can't detect intra-bar session changes when each bar spans multiple sessions. The warning tells you to switch to sub-12H timeframes (e.g., 4H, 1H, 30m, 15m, etc.) for proper session detection. You can disable this warning in Color Settings if needed, but session highlighting can be unreliable on 12H+ charts regardless.
→ Time Range Configuration
Every session's time range is editable in Session Settings:
1. Click the time input field next to each session
2. Enter time as HHMM-HHMM in 24-hour format
3. All times are interpreted as UTC
4. Modify these to account for daylight saving shifts or to define custom session periods based on your backtested optimal trading windows
For example, if your strategy performs best during London/NY overlap specifically, you could set London to 08:00-17:00 and New York to 13:00-22:00 to ensure you see the full overlap highlighted.
→ Weekdays Filter
The "Weekdays Only (Mon-Fri)" toggle controls whether sessions display on weekends:
Enabled: Sessions only show Monday-Friday and hide on Saturday-Sunday. Use this for markets that close on weekends (most equities, forex).
Disabled: Sessions display 24/7 including weekends. Use this for markets that trade continuously (crypto).
→ Table Display Options
The info table has several configuration options in Table Settings:
Visibility: Toggle "Show Info Table" on/off to display or hide the entire table.
Position: Nine position options (Top/Middle/Bottom + Left/Center/Right) let you place the table wherever it doesn't block your price action or other indicators.
Text Size: Four size options (Tiny, Small, Normal, Large) to match your screen resolution and visual preferences.
→ Color Schemes:
Mono: Black background, gray header, white text
Light: White background, light gray header, black text
Blue: Dark blue background, medium blue header, white text
Custom: Manual selection of all five color components (table background, header background, header text, data text, borders)
→ Alert Functionality
The indicator includes ten alert conditions you can access via TradingView's alert system:
Session Opens:
1. Sydney Session Started
2. Tokyo Session Started
3. London Session Started
4. New York Session Started
5. Any Session Started
Session Closes:
6. Sydney Session Ended
7. Tokyo Session Ended
8. London Session Ended
9. New York Session Ended
10. Any Session Ended
These alerts fire when sessions transition based on your configured time ranges, letting you automate monitoring of session changes without watching the chart continuously. Useful for strategies that trade specific session opens/closes or need to adjust position sizing when volatility regime shifts between sessions. Indicatore

True Close – Institutional Trading Sessions (Zeiierman)█ Overview
True Close – Institutional Trading Sessions (Zeiierman) is a professional-grade session mapping tool designed to help traders align with how institutions perceive the market’s true close. Unlike the textbook “daily close” used by retail traders, institutional desks often anchor their risk management, execution benchmarks, and exposure metrics to the first hour of the next session.
This indicator visualizes that logic directly on your chart — drawing session boxes, true close levels, and time-aligned labels across Sydney, Tokyo, London, and New York. It highlights the first hour of each session, projects the institutional closing price, and builds a live dashboard that tells you which sessions are active, which are in the critical opening phase, and what levels matter most right now.
More than just a visual tool, this indicator embeds institutional rhythm directly into your workflow — giving you a window into where big players finalize yesterday’s business, rebalance exposure, and execute delayed orders. It’s not just about painting sessions on your chart — it’s about adopting the mindset of those who truly move the market. Institutions don’t settle risk at the bell; they complete it in the next session. This tool lets you see that transition in real time, giving you an edge that goes beyond candles and indicators.
█ How It Works
⚪ Session Detection Engine
Each session is identified by its own time block (e.g., 09:00–17:30 for London). Once a session opens:
A full-session box is drawn to track its range.
The first hour is highlighted separately.
Once the first hour completes, the true close line is plotted, representing the price institutions often treat as the "real" close of the prior day.
⚪ Institutional True Close Logic
The script captures the close of the first hour, not the end of the day.
This line becomes a static reference across your chart, letting you visualize how price interacts with that institutional anchor:
Rejections from it show where yesterday's flow is respected.
Breaks through it may indicate that today's flows are rewriting the narrative.
⚪ Dynamic Dashboard Table
A live table appears in the corner of your screen, showing:
Each session's active status
Whether we’re inside the first hour
The current “true close” price if available
Each cell comes with advanced tooltips giving institutional context, flow dynamics, and market microstructure insights — from rebalancing spillovers to VWAP/TWAP lag effects.
█ How to Use
⚪ Use the First-Hour Line as Your Institutional Anchor
Treat it like the price level that big funds care about. Watch how the price behaves around level. Fades, re-tests, or continuation moves often occur as the market finishes recapping yesterday’s leftover orders.
⚪ Structure Entries Around the Session Context
Are you inside the first hour? Expect more volatility, more decisive flow. After the first session hour, expect fading liquidity as the market slows down and awaits the next session to open.
█ Settings
UTC Offset – Select your preferred time zone; all sessions adjust accordingly.
Session Toggles – Enable/disable Sydney, Tokyo, London, or NY.
Box Display Options – Show/hide session background, first-hour fill, borders.
True Close Line Controls – Enable line, label, and customize width & color.
Execution Hour Labels – Optional toggle for first-hour label placement.

Trading Sessions [BigBeluga]
This indicator brings Smart Money Concept (ICT) session logic to life by plotting key global trading sessions with volume and delta analytics. It not only highlights session ranges but also tracks their midpoints — which often act as intraday support/resistance levels.
🔵 KEY FEATURES
Visual session boxes: Plots boxes for Tokyo, London, New York, and Sydney sessions based on user-defined UTC+0 time ranges.
Volume & delta metrics: Displays total volume and delta volume (buy–sell difference) within each session.
Mid, High & Low Range Extension: Once a session ends, the high, low, and midpoint levels automatically extend — ideal for detecting SR zones.
Session labels: Each box includes a label with session name, time, volume, and delta for quick reference.
Custom session control: Enable or disable sessions individually and configure start/end times.
Clean aesthetics: Transparent shaded boxes with subtle borders make it easy to overlay without clutter.
Sessions Dashboard: Shows the time range of each session and tells you whether the session is currently active.
🔵 USAGE
Enable the sessions you want to monitor (e.g., New York or Tokyo) from the settings.
Use session volume and delta values to gauge the strength and direction of institutional activity.
Watch for price interaction with the extended range — it often acts as dynamic support/resistance after the session ends.
Overlay it with liquidity tools or breaker blocks for intraday strategy alignment.
🔵 EXAMPLES
Extended Future Range acted as resistance/support.
Delta value helped confirm bullish pressure during New York open.
Multiple sessions helped identify kill zone overlaps and high-volume turns.
Trading Sessions is more than just a visual scheduler — it's a precision tool for traders who align with session-based volume dynamics and ICT methodology. Use it to define high-probability zones, confirm volume shifts, and read deeper into the true intent behind market structure. Indicatore

VWAP Balance Zones - SessionsVWAP Balance Zones Sessions Version is an alternate take on the Original VWAP Balance Zones indicator. The Sessions version allows users to select a specific session to view the VWAP Balance Zones at while still utilizing the full ETH Data.
The Session version provides a better focused display while still maintaining the core functions of the original script with mindful optimizations.
Author's Note: "VBZ Sessions was made with logistics in mind, for the users who only trade within certain times of the day. While it displays the same core concepts, it is not as "Raw" of a display as the Original. For this reason, some users may prefer the Original VWAP Balance Zones, which is why I have opted to release this alternate version instead of updating the original."
> What are VWAP Balance Zones?
"VWAP Balance Zones" is an original concept aimed at identifying the equilibrium area between market participants within the current trend by averaging the Daily Extremes and the Daily VWAP.
Refer to the illustration below for a better understanding of exactly how VWAP Balance Zones are formed:
These zones are displayed for the Daily, Weekly, and Monthly VWAPs, with the most interactive timeframe being the Daily.
> Features
1. The Session Version uses ETH data at all times, and does not solely rely on the chart's data to create the VWAPs or Zones.
This allows the user to focus on a specific trading session, while not losing out on the full VBZ Calculation, with the notable benefit of a cleaner display.
The Original VBZ starts drawing at the beginning of the chart's "Day", and would produce different results when using an RTH chart vs an ETH chart. Along with creating a bird's nest of unusable data at the beginning of the day.
2. Session Start and End lines are displayed for easier identification of the designated trading session.
3. The extreme "Close" Lines are no longer displayed to reduce noise and redundancy.
4. Additionally, the interior VWAP lines are no longer displayed. Ultimately, this was to reduce noise and focus the script on the 50% zones.
5. Weekly and Monthly Zones are now displayed due to the reduced noise!
6. As with the original, the weekly display will yield to the daily, and the monthly display will yield to the weekly.
In the screenshot below, you can observe this behavior.

[MiV] Trading SessionHello, everyone!
Today I want to present my new script, which I hope will help not only me!
I'm sure that many people, like me, went through such a stage as "building their strategy". This is when you sit and test on the history how you would enter or exit a trade.
Recently I was doing the same thing and realized that my "tests" involve night time, when in reality I would be asleep and not trading! So I decided to create an indicator that would display my "working hours" so that the backtest I conduct would be as realistic as possible.
Also this indicator is able to display sessions of major exchanges and forex working hours, so it will be useful not only for cryptocurrency lovers.
In addition, we don't always trade every day and, for example, I don't trade on Sunday. That's why we added a feature that "turns off" the day and does not highlight it in color if you're not planning to trade on that day.
And finally, I added a notification of the beginning and end of the trading session. A small thing, but it may also be a useful feature for those who like to sit at the chart!
I will be glad to receive any comments and suggestions!
-----
Indicatore

Market Sessions - By LeviathanA simple indicator to help you keep track of 4 market sessions (default: Tokyo, London, New York, Sydney) in 4 different visual forms (boxes, timeline, zones, colored candles) with many other useful tools.
You can choose between 4 different market sessions. The default ones are Tokyo, London, New York and Sydney but you can easily customize the times, names and colors to make the script plot any session you need. Sessions can be viewed in 4 different ways: boxes, zones, timelines, or just colored candles, all with customizable appearances. You can make your chart cleaner by merging sessions overlaps, choosing a custom lookback period and also picking between various additional settings such as viewing session High/Low or Open/Close change in % or pips, hiding weekends, viewing the Open/Close Line to identify session’s direction and 0.5 level to see session’s “Equilibrium” and much more. More updates with interesting tools will be added in the future.
Note: The script will plot the correct default Tokyo, London, New York and Sydney sessions automatically, your chart/Tradingview app timezone does not matter! If you wish to tweak the open/close times of sessions, just make sure you input them in UTC (but even this can be changed later in the settings)

1. “Change (Pips)” - this will add the pip distance between Session High and Session Low or the pip distance between Session Open and Session Close to the session label.
2. “Change (%)” - this will add the percentage distance between Session High and Session Low or the percentage distance between Session Open and Session Close to the session label.
3. “Merge Overlaps” - this will merge the overlapping sessions and show only one at a time (end of Tokyo is moved to start of London, the end of London is moved to the start of New York, end of New York is moved to start of Sydney and end of Sydney is moved to start of Tokyo).
4. “Hide Weekends” - this will prevent the script from plotting sessions over the weekend when the markets are closed.

11. “Input Timezone” - this defines the timezone of the session start/end inputs (you don’t have to change this unless you know what you’re doing)
