Price Filter [AstrideUnicorn]The indicator calculates a fast price filter based on the closing price of the underlying asset. Overall, it is intended to provide a fast, reliable way to detect trend direction and confirm trend strength, using statistical measures of price movements.
The algorithm was adapted from Marcus Schmidberger's (2018) article "High Frequency Trading with the MSCI World ETF". It demeans the price time series using the long-term average and then normalizes it with the long-term standard deviation. The resulting time series is then compared to specified thresholds to determine the trend direction.
HOW TO USE
The indicator surface is colored green if the price is trending upwards and red if the price is trending downwards. If the indicator outline is the opposite color of the indicator surface, it indicates that the price is moving against the trend and the current trend may be losing strength.
If the 'Use threshold' setting is enabled, the indicator will be colored blue if its value is within the range defined by the upper and lower thresholds. This indicates that the price is trending sideways, or that the current trend is losing strength.
SETTNGS
Length - the length of the long-term average used to calculate the price filter. Recommended range 20 - 200. The sensitivity of the indicator increases as the value becomes smaller, allowing it to detect smaller price moves and swings earlier.
Threshold - the threshold value used to detect trend direction.
Use threshold - a boolean (true/false) input that determines whether to use the threshold value for confirmation.

Musashi_Fractal_Dimension === Musashi-Fractal-Dimension ===
This tool is part of my research on the fractal nature of the markets and understanding the relation between fractal dimension and chaos theory.
To take full advantage of this indicator, you need to incorporate some principles and concepts:
- Traditional Technical Analysis is linear and Euclidean, which makes very difficult its modeling.
- Linear techniques cannot quantify non-linear behavior
- Is it possible to measure accurately a wave or the surface of a mountain with a simple ruler?
- Fractals quantify what Euclidean Geometry can’t, they measure chaos, as they identify order in apparent randomness.
- Remember: Chaos is order disguised as randomness.
- Chaos is the study of unstable aperiodic behavior in deterministic non-linear dynamic systems
- Order and randomness can coexist, allowing predictability.
- There is a reason why Fractal Dimension was invented, we had no way of measuring fractal-based structures.
- Benoit Mandelbrot used to explain it by asking: How do we measure the coast of Great Britain?
- An easy way of getting the need of a dimension in between is looking at the Koch snowflake.
- Market prices tend to seek natural levels of ranges of balance. These levels can be described as attractors and are determinant.
Fractal Dimension Index ('FDI')
Determines the persistence or anti-persistence of a market.
- A persistent market follows a market trend. An anti-persistent market results in substantial volatility around the trend (with a low r2), and is more vulnerable to price reversals
- An easy way to see this is to think that fractal dimension measures what is in between mainstream dimensions. These are:
- One dimension: a line
- Two dimensions: a square
- Three dimensions: a cube.
--> This will hint you that at certain moment, if the market has a Fractal Dimension of 1.25 (which is low), the market is behaving more “line-like”, while if the market has a high Fractal Dimension, it could be interpreted as “square-like”.
- 'FDI' is trend agnostic, which means that doesn't consider trend. This makes it super useful as gives you clean information about the market without trying to include trend stuff.
Question: If we have a game where you must choose between two options.
1. a horizontal line
2. a vertical line.
Each iteration a Horizontal Line or a Square will appear as continuation of a figure. If it that iteration shows a square and you bet vertical you win, same as if it is horizontal and it is a line.
- Wouldn’t be useful to know that Fractal dimension is 1.8? This will hint square. In the markets you can use 'FD' to filter mean-reversal signals like Bollinger bands, stochastics, Regular RSI divergences, etc.
- Wouldn’t be useful to know that Fractal dimension is 1.2? This will hint Line. In the markets you can use 'FD' to confirm trend following strategies like Moving averages, MACD, Hidden RSI divergences.
Calculation method:
Fractal dimension is obtained from the ‘hurst exponent’.
'FDI' = 2 - 'Hurst Exponent'
Musashi version of the Classic 'OG' Fractal Dimension Index ('FDI')
- By default, you get 3 fast 'FDI's (11,12,13) + 1 Slow 'FDI' (21), their interaction gives useful information.
- Fast 'FDI' cross will give you gray or red dots while Slow 'FDI' cross with the slowest of the fast 'FDI's will give white and orange dots. This are great to early spot trend beginnings or trend ends.
- A baseline (purple) is also provided, this is calculated using a 21 period Bollinger bands with 1.618 'SD', once calculated, you just take midpoint, this is the 'TDI's (Traders Dynamic Index) way. The indicator will print purple dots when Slow 'FDI' and baseline crosses, I see them as Short-Term cycle changes.
- Negative slope 'FDI' means trending asset.
- Positive most of the times hints correction, but if it got overextended it might hint a rocket-shot.
TDI Ranges:
- 'FDI' between 1.0≤ 'FDI' ≤1.4 will confirm trend following continuation signals.
- 'FDI' between 1.6≥ 'FDI' ≥2.0 will confirm reversal signals.
- 'FDI' == 1.5 hints a random unpredictable market.
Fractal Attractors
- As you must know, fractals tend orbit certain spots, this are named Attractors, this happens with any fractal behavior. The market of course also shows them, in form of Support & Resistance, Supply Demand, etc. It’s obvious they are there, but now we understand that they’re not linear, as the market is fractal, so simple trendline might not be the best tool to model this.
- I’ve noticed that when the Musashi version of the 'FDI' indicator start making a cluster of multicolor dots, this end up being an attractor, I tend to draw a rectangle as that area as price tend to come back (I still researching here).
Extra useful stuff
- Momentum / speed: Included by checking RSI Study in the indicator properties. This will add two RSI’s (9 and a 7 periods) plus a baseline calculated same way as explained for 'FDI'. This gives accurate short-term trends. It also includes RSI divergences (regular and hidden), deactivate with a simple check in the RSI section of the properties.
- BBWP (Bollinger Bands with Percentile): Efficient way of visualizing volatility as the percentile of Bollinger bands expansion. This line varies color from Iced blue when low volatility and magma red when high. By default, comes with the High vols deactivated for better view of 'FDI' and RSI while all studies are included. DDWP is trend agnostic, just like 'FDI', which make it very clean at providing information.
- Ultra Slow 'FDI': I noticed that while using BBWP and RSI, the indicator gets overcrowded, so there is the possibility of adding only one 'FDI' + its baseline.
Final Note: I’ve shown you few ways of using this indicator, please backtest before using in real trading. As you know trading is more about risk and trade management than the strategy used. This still a work in progress, I really hope you find value out of it. I use it combination with a tool named “Musashi_Katana” (also found in TradingView).
Best!

[XIDEN] Reversal ScannerXiden's reversal scanner is based on SMA.
It gives you visual reversal zones and possible entries to enter a reversal trade.
We always try to keep the chart clean, so we didn't go back on visuals, just essentials.
Here is a bullish example:
The blue cross indicates the start of a bullish reversal zone.
The blue flag indicates the end of the bullish reversal zone.
The green arrow marks a possible long entry.
Here is a bearish example:
Again:
The blue cross indicates the start of a bearish reversal zone.
The blue flag indicates the end of the bearish reversal zone.
The red arrow marks a possible short entry.
Don't use this tool as a standalone indicator to trade, always DYOR and use other factors to confirm a possible reversal.
Daily Manual KILLZONESThis indicator is to be used with "KILLSTATS", our indicator allowing to backtest on hundreds of days at which time, and which day the top/low of the day and week is formed.
"Manual Killzone" allows to define our statistical killzones by day of the week manually: you define your own rules according to your interpretation of our Killstats indicator.
It integrates a daily price action filter according to the ICT concept:
It will only display bullish probabilities (green) defined if and only if we are in discount and out of the daily range 25/75%.
Same for bearish probabilities (red)
The blue color is to be applied in case of reversal with high contradictory probability (Example: to be used for Tuesday from 2pm to 3pm, if Tuesday is a day with high probability to form a top, but 2pm/15pm is the time with high probability to form a bottom AND a top. Indecision => blue)
WARNING : Calculated according to Etc/UTC time : put "0" in the Timezone parameter of killstats.
It is necessary to use the replay mode regularly during the backtesting to update the data!

---Average Down--
Buy, if the lowest Bar of your Configuration * Your open trades has been hit AND only if the buyin is atleast 1% cheaper.
---Close---
Close, if the RSI closes above a certain level (default is set to 70).
---TP---
There is no TP
---SL---

KillstatsBacktest and identify at what times/days the high/low were formed. The periods are shown on the graph along with detailed statistics.
Exemple with "days : 600" and "13h : top 12%" : we understand that over 600 days, in 12% of the cases we have formed the top of the day at 13h.
up to 1000+ days studied to find favorable reversal time slots: killstats! The data presented can sometimes be... surprising.
Increasing/decreasing the timeframe on chart = increase/decrease the studied period.
A period of 1000 days ( UT : h1) allows to have solid but not exact statistics.
A period of 30 days allows to have current statistics but too little sample to know if the data is relevant.
I recommend looking for intersections of killstats over several periods: If over 1000 days AND 30 days, 3pm was a time with a high probability of forming a top, it is interesting to look for short positions between 3pm and 4pm.
The data is displayed in the form of a diagram whose visual allows to identify effective time slots.
Caution. Timeframe: h1 maximum for the study of the day's high/low to be correct - and daily maximum for the study of the week's high/low.
Caution2. Match the timezone with the input (by default set to GMT+1). So if you are at GMT+2, you must put "2" in timezone.
I recommend using this as part of an aggressive high frequency scalping strategy to make the most of your trading session - with the aim of quickly moving to TP1/BE and leaving your winning position open.
Rob Booker Reversal Tabs StrategyRob Booker Reversal Tabs Strategy is an updated version of Rob Bookers Reversal Tab study: Rob Booker Reversal Tabs
While the original is a Pinescript study, this version can be switched between strategy and indicator mode.
Rob Bookers script generates reversal signal based on MACD and Stochastics, it is not a true reversal system, default pyramiding value is set to 5.
Inputs determine MACD and Stochastics settings. The only additional input is the "Strategy Mode" checkbox.
This script works well on its own for some tickers, but like any reversal pattern generating scripts, traders will profit from looking at overall price action and trend strength before making a trade.
From the original:
A simple reversal pattern indicator that uses MACD and Stochastics.
Created by Rob Booker and programmed by Andrew Palladino.
Please note that I only updated the original to V5 and edited it to be a strategy, which was a grand total of 5 minutes of work. I updated it because I wanted to see how the script performs as a strategy and I'm publishing it in case others would like to use it. I take no credit whatsoever for the original and WILL take this version down if Rob Booker or his Team ask me to or decide to release their own strategy version of the original.

Cosmic Markers LiteThis marker-only indicator traces highest and lowest bars using 5 different periods (the first 3 in aggregation and the rest as is) for a total of 10 support and resistance signals of varying strength. Use Cosmic Markers Lite on its own or add on top of existing chart patterns or other line indicators.
MTF Commodity Oddity Index (CCI+)MTF Commodity Oddity Index (CCI+)
This chart overlay indicator is based upon the Commodity Channel Index (CCI) and can signal multiple triple-timeframe CCI overbought and oversold confluences directly onto your chart, intended for use as a confluence either for reversal trade entries, or potential trade exits, indicating where price may be probable to reverse.
Features include:
- Primary set of fully configurable triple-timeframe overbought and oversold signals, indicating where 3 selected timeframes are all overbought or all oversold at the same time. Enabled by default.
- Secondary set of fully configurable triple-timeframe overbought and oversold signals, indicating where 3 selected timeframes are all overbought or all oversold at the same time. Enabled by default.
- Optional drawing of background colours and/or ribbon seen at bottom of the chart image.
- The default primary MTF #1 timeframes are set to 1 minute, 5 minute and 15 minute. These are highly suitable for low timeframe scalpers trading on < 5m charts, and can often pin point price reversals.
- The default Secondary MTF #2 timeframes are set to 15 minute, 30 minute and 120 minute. These are suitable for both low timeframe scalpers and considerably higher timeframe traders.
- Independent alerts for MTF #1 and MTF #2 triple-timeframe confluences, including options for alerting MTF overbought and MTF oversold individually, as well as an option for alerting either overbought or oversold in a single combined alert.
- Also includes standard configurable CCI options, including CC length and source type.
Note: The features listed above are accurate at the time of publishing but maybe updated or added to in future.
A similar MTF CCI indicator is also available as a panel indicator here .
This indicator is based upon the original MTF Fantastic Stochastic (FS+) available here .
What is the Commodity Channel Index (CCI)?
Investopedia has described the popular oscillator as follows:
“The Commodity Channel Index (CCI) is a momentum-based oscillator used to help determine when an investment vehicle is reaching a condition of being overbought or oversold.
Developed by Donald Lambert, this technical indicator assesses price trend direction and strength, allowing traders to determine if they want to enter or exit a trade, refrain from taking a trade, or add to an existing position. In this way, the indicator can be used to provide trade signals when it acts in a certain way.”
You can read more about the CCI , its use cases and calculations here .
How do traders use overbought and oversold levels in their trading?
The oversold level, that is traditionally when the CCI is above the 100 level is typically interpreted as being 'overbought', and below the -100 level is typically considered 'oversold'. Traders will often use the CCI at an overbought level as a confluence for entry into a short position, and the CCI at an oversold level as a confluence for an entry into a long position. These levels do not mean that price will necessarily reverse at those levels in a reliable way, however. This is why this version of the CCI employs the triple timeframe overbought and oversold confluence, in an attempt to add a more confluence and reliability to this usage of the CCI . While traditionally, the overbought and oversold levels are below -100 for oversold, and above 100 for overbought, the default threshold settings of this indicator have been increased to provide fewer, stronger signals, especially suited to the low timeframes and highly volatile assets.
Q-TrendQ-Trend is an multipurpose indicatorm that can be used for swing- and trend-trading equally on any timeframe (non-volatile markets are better for this thing).
Settings:
Trend period - used to calculate trend line in the special moments(will explain below);
ATR Multiplier - changes sensitivity. The higher the multiplier = the more sensitive it is.
Also option to smooth source data (helps get cleaner signals, as always).
How to use?
Signals are given on the chart. Also ou can use trend line as S/R line.
The idea behind:
Terms:
SRС = Source
TL = trend line;
MP = ATR multiplier;
ATR = ATR :)
TL = (highest of source P-bars back + lowest of source P-bars back) / 2
Epsilon = MP * ATR
I was thinking for a week about combining volatility and relation between highest and lowest price point. That why I called indicator Q-Trend = Quantitative Trend , as I was trying to think about price in a mathematical way.
Okay, time to go philosophical:
1) TL is shows good price trend, but as it is slow enough and not enough informative, we need add additional conditions to produce signals.
2) Okay, so what can we add as conditions? We need to take volatility into account, as it is crucial in the moments of market uncertainty. So let's use ATR (Average True Range) somehow. My idea is that if SRC breaks TL + ATR , then it means that there will be upmove and we update our TL . Analogically for SRC breaking TL - ATR (breaks are crosses of TL +- ATR lines) .
Conclusion:
- if SRC breaks TL + ATR , it is a BUY signal and update of trend line;
- if SRC breaks TL - ATR , it is a SELL signal and update of trend line;
I think that such indicator already exisits on TradingView, as I've already saw something similar, but long ago, so please don't report, if such thing already exists.
But if not, then I hope, that you will gain some profits with Q-Trend :)
I will continue my work on this thing, so stay tuned.
Trade with your own risks and have your profits!
Wish you all the best!

FieryTrading: Buy The Dip - Sell The RipDear Tradingview community,
Today I want to share a very powerful, yet easy to use indicator with you. The indicator will find local tops or bottoms and will help you determine when it's a good time to trade a potential reversal.
How does it work?
The indicator makes use of the RSI to detect extremities and waits until the RSI reverses. Furthermore, a long-term moving average is used to determine whether we're in bullish or bearish market conditions. In bullish conditions the indicator will only go long, in bearish conditions the indicator will only go short.
How do I use it?
Favorite the indicator and apply it to your chart! You can add an alert to the indicator to receive a message once it has detected a good point for a reversal trade.
The indicator can be used on all assets and on all timeframes. Personally, I've found the 1 - 4 hourly timeframes to yield the best results.
Good luck!
Boom Hunter XBoom Hunter X is built to target breakouts and explosive moves. The strength of this indicator is in slower timeframes like daily, weekly and monthly but it also works great on 4 hour timeframes. It is a modified version of Boom Hunter XL designed to be simple and easy to use. There are minimal settings available, aside from being able to choose the length of the oscillator there are 3 presets available. Preset 1 is the fastest and is great for targeting entries. Preset 3 is the slowest and is perfect for highlighting trends and setting up big moves. Preset 2 is somewhere in the middle and works great for entries and trend. To get a full picture of price action it is recommended to use all three indicators on your chart. The indicator will automatically adjust lengths when using weekly and monthly charts. If using faster timeframes try adjust the length to 6 or 9.
To get best results use Preset 3 to identify the trend of price action. When Preset 3 is in teal look for long entries on Presets 1 and 2. Likewise, when in red look for shorts. The best entries come from the first pullbacks. Below is an example of entering with the trend.
Using slow charts like weekly and monthly makes it easy to see what is happening with the markets. Below is an example of how easy it is to stay ahead of the curve and identify booms.
First pullbacks are signalled with outlined triangles: ▵▿
These signals are only available on preset 2 and 3. First pullbacks are picked up after price action breaks its median or dynamic median also known as OSC3 (OSC3 is hidden and works in the background), The strongest long pullbacks are when the oscillator is above the median and in the teal. Likewise the strongest short entries are when the oscillator is below the median and in the red. First pullback signals often signal the start of a new trend. Below is an example on a daily chart.
Breaks in support and resistance are signalled with white arrows: ˰˅
Preset 3 highlights the biggest breakouts while preset 1 will show the breaks within the breaks. Preset 2 provides a nice blend between the both and works great for targeting breakouts. It is not recommended to enter on the break as price action will come back to test. The first pullback after the break is typically the best and safest entry for breakouts. Below is an example of the break signal using preset 2 on weekly chart.
Breakout entries are signalled with teal and red triangles. Breakout signals filter price action for safe confirmed pullback entries. The slower the timeframe the bigger the breakout. Presets 2 and 3 are best for finding these entries.
Booms are signalled with this explosive icon: 💥
Simply put booms are polarity flips within the ticker signal. They are fast and explosive moves that can be detected using several different methods. Some of these boom signals are picked up using pure chart mechanics while others use filtering and signal processing to pinpoint the exact moment before an explosion. To make big moves the charts have to set it up first. Below is an example on a daily chart.
Boom Hunter X comes with the following alerts:
Overbought - Reversal attempt
Oversold - Reversal attempt
Long First Pullback - Only available on Preset 2 and 3
Short First Pullback - Only available on Preset 2 and 3
Pivot Up - Oscillator crosses over trigger
Pivot Down - Oscillator crosses under trigger
Long Breakout - Entry point for breakout
Short Breakout - Entry point for breakout
Break Support - Price action breaks its support
Break Resistance - Price action breaks its resistance
Boom! - Alerts for all the booms
Crossing Over Median - Price action enters top half of channel
Crossing Under Median - Price action enters bottom half of channel
Mega Pendulum IndicatorThe MPI (Mega Pendulum Indicator) is a fusion between the Pendulum Indicator and the Swing Indicator and is used with specific trading rules.
The MPI is a semi-bounded oscillator comprised of two lines. The first bounded line is the Pendulum Indicator which oscillates between 0 and 100 but generally oscillates between 20 and 80. The second semi-bounded line is the Swing Indicator which generally oscillates between -10 and 10.
The conditions for trading the Mega Pendulum Indicator are as follows:
* Buy: Whenever the Pendulum indicator crosses over its signal line (a 5-period moving average) and at the same time, the Swing Indicator must cross over -10 after having been below it.
* Sell: Whenever the Pendulum indicator crosses below its signal line (a 5-period moving average) and at the same time, the Swing Indicator must cross under -10 after having been above it.
Qube [AstrideUnicorn]Qube is an indicator that shows market regimes. It is able to detect medium and long term trends and ranging markets. If the indicator bars are colored blue and are between the two blue lines, it means that the market is in sideways movement or consolidation. If indicator bars cross the upper boundary and are colored green, it means that the market is in an uptrend. Red bars crossing the lower blue line indicate a downward trend. The red or green columns are further referred as signal bars.
The indicator is based on the normalized momentum oscillator raised to the third power. This is done to increase the sensitivity of the indicator and to emphasize the difference between the market modes.
The indicator can be used in different ways. One of them is determining the trend direction based on the last signal bar. Even if the current indicator bar is blue (showing range or consolidation), the user should consider the longer-term market mode as upward if the last signal bar is green. And vice versa, if the last signal bar is red, the current market bias is downward. One other way to use the indicator is to catch active price impulses, when columns of the same color (red or green) appear consecutively.
High Accuracy Tops/BottomsThis script may be TradingView's most accurate tops & bottoms indicator ever published.
Since it's experimental, I'm going to offer access to it free of charge. Send me a direct message requesting access.
5 years ago I joined TradingView and began studying price and the factors behind what causes bottoms and tops to form as well as how to find them. Fascinated by it, I spent years researching and discovered lot of different concepts that play an instrumental role with tops and bottoms: Market structure, price reactions, S/R , and much more. Through tons of experimenting, I ended up discovering a variety of NEW methods of identifying tops & bottoms. Through the years I've built up a script that has enabled the process for identifying tops and bottoms within the market to be much more convenient.
This is currently experimental and still has a lot of potential for improvement. The objective of the indicator is to help identify absolute tops and bottoms, and so far it does a great job whenever it provides a signal. It works for practically all types of securities, and surprisingly, even if they are in illiquid markets.
This indicator does NOT repaint whatsoever.
Below are a few examples of it across different security types as well as different timeframes:
Bitcoin
Gamestop (GME)
Luna / TetherUS
Crude Oil (Commodities)
Even spanning back centuries:
The indicator should be used for the following:
-Helping find potential entry points
-Timing trades and improving risk management
-Assisting with plotting top/bottom support and resistance levels
-For higher timeframes, use in conjunction with market news or global headlines
-For lower timeframes, use in conjunction with other indicators/trading tools
This is not a buy & sell indicator.. This is a TOOL to help identify accurate entry points and craft decisions based upon it.
Soon, I will be providing an updated version of it. It will include explicit details surrounding how it works and it's functions. My aim is to provide some level of value to the TradingView community in return for the great insight Tradingview and other platforms have insighted me with over price action.
Wavetrend DivergencesCreated for the MarketCipher Community and friends :)
This indicator is partly based on Wavetrend Oscillator by LazyBear / blue momentum waves on MarketCipher B.
The Wavetrend indicator is a combination of 2 oscillator lines that signals the short term direction of the price once the lines cross. The Wavetrend indicator is useful but only once a divergence has been identified based on the crosses and the price which is what this strategy partly uses to open trades. This indicator signals divergences in the wavetrend, both regular and hidden divergences.
This indicator utilizes support and resistances to make sure that the indicator only signals high probability winning divergences. Supports represents a low level a stock price reaches over time, while resistance represents a high level a stock price reaches over time. Support materializes when a stock price drops to a level that prompts traders to buy. This reactionary buying causes a stock price to stop dropping and start rising and this is where the indicator will be looking for a divergence at a price point of your choosing.
To make it easier i have added a support and resistance drawing indicator that will help you find price points on the chart that the price is likely to get a reaction from. There are right now only 4 support or resistances that can be drawn at one time so make sure to update the levels as the market changes.
I have helped update and modify from the original script. Here it is:
On top of these indicators i have added my own indicator that will signal a short term trend reversal that is based on pivot points and moving averages. This will usually signal reversals earlier than divergences and is very effective when following the trend and using support and resistances and can be used as an extra confirmation that there will be a reaction from the support or resistance and that the divergence will play out like you want it to. These trend reversal dots can also be used to take profit.
Trade setup example:
As seen in the picture below price comes down to a previously drawn support line, then there is a trend reversal dot that signal a potential reversal and finally a divergence is signalled once there is a clear reaction to the support. When all these signals come together there is a high probability that the trade will end up in profit. To take profit in this trade setup you can use the trend reversal dots, the drawn resistances or your own intuition and technical analysis with Marketcipher B and DBSI. A stop loss in this trade setup could be at the swing low, below the blue or teal line.
There are alerts for everything so that you wont miss a trade setup. Hope you like it :)
I have some ideas on how to improve the indicator so there will be updates in the future.
Trend BandsThis script is, yet again, another mean reversion indicator. When the trend index touches the upper / lower bands, there seems to be a decent probability that the market might reverse at that area. However, I do emphasise on exercising caution when trading against the current wave of the market as there are instances where the trend index extends past the upper / lower bands for a prolonged period of time. However, in a non-trending semi-consolidated market, this script seems to do quite well for itself. Enjoy!
Bollinger BandsThis strategy is inspired from Power of Stock aka Subhasish Panni.
Target is minimum 1:3 when you get this setup right.
Buy when:
1) Low is greater than upper band of BB and next candle breaks high of that candle, SL is Low of previous candle which is has low above upper band.
2) High is lower than lower band of BB and next candle breaks high of that candle, SL is low of previous candle which has high lower than lower band.
Sell when:
1) Low is greater than upper band of BB and next candle breaks low of that candle, SL is high of previous candle which is has low above upper band.
2) High is lower than lower band of BB and next candle breaks high of that candle, SL is high of previous candle which has high lower than lower band.
Disclaimer: this setup will cause many small stoploss hit, you have to accept that loss but you will be profitable because of R:R.
RSI Exhaustion + DivergenceThe Relative Strength Index Exhaustion with Divergence is an essential replacement of the standard Relative Strength Index Oscillator because it's able to identify and highlight hidden exhaustions together with Bullish/Bearish Regular and Hidden Divergences.
This indicator can give the outmost probability in spotting trend reversals or trend continuation.
By identifying hidden exhaustion momentum, the Relative Strength Index Exhaustion indicator represents an essential support to the trader in effectively reading the market and grabbing the best opportunities.
This detects divergences between price and indicator with 1 candle delay so it filters out repeating divergences.
Recommended to use this at a higher timeframe to lessen the false signals.
Red Arrow = Bullish/Bearish Divergence
White Arrow = Hidden Bullish/Bearish Divergence
Minimalist Doji HighlighterThis minimalism focused indicator was designed specifically to highlight doji candles (gravestone, long-legged, and dragonfly) that generally signal indecision/neutrality within price structure to improve trading accessibility for the disabled/visually impaired, visual charting cues or pattern visibility, and educational/learning purposes.
HOW TO USE IT:
Highlight doji candles to improve visual cues on chart.
Default size of 0.15-0.02 works best, yet can be modified thus ensuring flexibility of use and experimentation.
Additionally, there is an option to add crosses above doji candles for additional visual cues; this feature is set to false by default to avoid cluttering charts.
MARKET USAGE:
All time frames and assets.
MARKET CONDITIONS:
All conditions.
Candle Wick Patterns Alerts & Liquidity TargetsCandle wicks provide incredibly useful confluence and confirmation of price action and technical analysis.
Quite simply a wick is formed by price being moved to an extreme by one side, then price being pushed back by the other side.
This can show increased pressure by one side, reduced or increased momentum, or exhaustion by another side.
This indicator while simple, is extremely powerful and versatile and can be set up to recognize numerous types of candle wick and therefore suit numerous trading styles.
The settings as to how wicks are highlighted are:
- Timeframe - view wicks on a higher timeframe while trading on a lower timeframe
- Minimum Wick to Body Ratio - increasing this value will look for wicks who are at least n times larger than the candle body. The most obvious examples here are Doji's - hammer, gravestone, dragonfly, etc. These can indicate trend reversals, indecision and changing momentum.
- Minimum Candle Body as percent of price - this value makes sure that any wick highlighted, belongs to a candle with a body that is at least n% of the price. A higher value is likely to show price momentum is stronger in a particular direction, good for confirming a trend.
- Minimum Candle Wick as percent of price - similar to candle bodies, this value will make sure the candle wick is at least n% of the price. This will identify large fluctuations in price, and if you are familiar with smart money concepts, an increasingly popular strategy is to target 50% of the wick being filled (liquidity).
- Show half fill level of wick - As above, this can provide a good target, which price will be drawn to, depending on the wick.
Finally, the indicator can be used to create alerts when a new wick that meets your settings criteria, is formed.
And don't forget you can add the indicator multiple times, with different settings to cover multiple scenarios and timeframes!
CFB-Adaptive Trend Cipher Candles [Loxx]CFB-Adaptive Trend Cipher Candles is a candle coloring indicator that shows both trend and trend exhaustion using Composite Fractal Behavior price trend analysis. To do this, we first calculate the dynamic period outputs from the CFB algorithm and then we injection those period inputs into a correlation function that correlates price input price to the candle index. The closer the correlation is to 1, the lighter the green color until the color turns yellow, sometimes, indicating upward price exhaustion. The closer the correlation is to -1, the lighter the red color until it reaches Fuchsia color indicating downward price exhaustion. Green means uptrend, red means downtrend, yellow means reversal from uptrend to downtrend, fuchsia means reversal from downtrend to uptrend.
What is Composite Fractal Behavior ( CFB )?
All around you mechanisms adjust themselves to their environment. From simple thermostats that react to air temperature to computer chips in modern cars that respond to changes in engine temperature, r.p.m.'s, torque, and throttle position. It was only a matter of time before fast desktop computers applied the mathematics of self-adjustment to systems that trade the financial markets.
Unlike basic systems with fixed formulas, an adaptive system adjusts its own equations. For example, start with a basic channel breakout system that uses the highest closing price of the last N bars as a threshold for detecting breakouts on the up side. An adaptive and improved version of this system would adjust N according to market conditions, such as momentum, price volatility or acceleration.
Since many systems are based directly or indirectly on cycles, another useful measure of market condition is the periodic length of a price chart's dominant cycle, (DC), that cycle with the greatest influence on price action.
The utility of this new DC measure was noted by author Murray Ruggiero in the January '96 issue of Futures Magazine. In it. Mr. Ruggiero used it to adaptive adjust the value of N in a channel breakout system. He then simulated trading 15 years of D-Mark futures in order to compare its performance to a similar system that had a fixed optimal value of N. The adaptive version produced 20% more profit!
This DC index utilized the popular MESA algorithm (a formulation by John Ehlers adapted from Burg's maximum entropy algorithm, MEM). Unfortunately, the DC approach is problematic when the market has no real dominant cycle momentum, because the mathematics will produce a value whether or not one actually exists! Therefore, we developed a proprietary indicator that does not presuppose the presence of market cycles. It's called CFB (Composite Fractal Behavior) and it works well whether or not the market is cyclic.
CFB examines price action for a particular fractal pattern, categorizes them by size, and then outputs a composite fractal size index. This index is smooth, timely and accurate
Essentially, CFB reveals the length of the market's trending action time frame. Long trending activity produces a large CFB index and short choppy action produces a small index value. Investors have found many applications for CFB which involve scaling other existing technical indicators adaptively, on a bar-to-bar basis.
